No news here yet. I don't expect myself to be in the first wave since my dates didn't change until 4/27/11. Remind me of that when I start to panic as other people start getting banking verification emails! I am quite surprised NO ONE has heard anything. Last year people started getting banking verification emails in late May, and our applications were due 1 month earlier than theirs! :uhoh3:

RIght Suzy! That's my thinking exactly! I will definitely remind you of that! But mine was pretty early and I've heard nothing as well. I forgot today was a holiday tho. Maybe later this week! Keep on praying all!

I spoke with Sallie Mae today and they stated that they received a phone call on April 27th requesting my payoff amount. I am trying to avoid getting worked up about it so I don't comment much but I know there were some worries about Sallie Mae not being contacted, so I wanted to share.

Ditto. And yah know, my Mom said I really might not even hear anything by August and really still shouldn't worry. And she's right. People got letters all the way up till late Sept last year. I just wish SOMETHING would start to happen. Even if it's you guys and not me!!!

I am antsy too! I keep reminding myself that its not abnormal to not know anything yet!. Hopefully we will all hear soon!

So I called HRSA today just for the heck of it. I asked if it's true that they always contact you to get the banking info first. She said yes. Could not tell me when the awarding period begins though.

HA! HA! HA! I called HRSA too, Suzy, just cause I'm getting so crazy now! And I just asked them if they knew when the awarding notifications or email notifications would begin and she said her little speel, "you will know by September if you receive an award; October if rejected.". And I asked if she knew when we will begin getting email notifications for verification for banking info and stuff and she had no idea. I am the same as you, though, I just really really wish SOMEONE would hear SOMETHING SOON! My husband started making me nervous that Pres Obama is maybe making cuts and NOBODY will get awarded now! I told him to shut up and be optimistic!!

Is your husband a republican? Lol. Even if that was true and Obama was going to make cuts from NELRP, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be from this round. I would assume they already have a designated funding amount set aside for this year. The government doesn't seem like a last minute decision crowd to me. Heck if I know though.

I called HRSA today and the women I spoke with said I should be on the lookout for an E-mail from now through mid August. At least that means that they are in the process of sending out e-mails. I think?????

I am so glad you called! Because I am getting so annoyed that nobody has heard anything....my goodness!! COME ON HRSA! I don't know if I can wait another two months of this!!

So I too called HRSA today and asked them if they were starting to send out verification emails. The woman I talked to said yes, and that now it is just a waiting game. When I asked if they were sending them out like state by state, she said, nope. They send them out in the order that the applications were sent in. So well, now I am getting nervous because I was early sending my application in. I know I need to chill out but I really wish my hopes weren't so high
