Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

It's a PDF document in my sallie Mae acct.

A few years ago a few of my loans were bought out by the dept of education...but it's all under my sallie Mae acct

( I think we are all just so nervous/obsessed with this whole process.)

Ha, yeah, we are definitely all freaking out. I just feel like someone should be hearing something. Last year, it seemed like people got emails about 6 weeks before they got the award letter. And if people are supposed to start finding out in July, that should be any day now!

I really hope somebody finds something out this week! I hate this waiting game! I check my E-mail constantly.

So, I called My Great Lakes ya'll, and they told me somebody contacted them back in February for my payoff amount from HRSA!!! Now I am kinda freakin out that nobody has told me anything about HRSA contacting Sallie Mae. Sallie Mae is my main loan provider and that is my major bill. So what if they somehow rejected my Sallie Mae accounts but are only gonna do my My Great Lakes account which isn't that much money...sigh! I just got knots in my belly when I talked to the rep from My Great Lakes. This waiting thing sucks! It gives you too much time to think and analyze!!

Has anyone else out there NOT heard anything from Sallie Mae but heard about HRSA contacting their other lenders?? I don't remember

I think they probably did contact Sallie Mae about you. Sallie Mae always screws things up and their customer service sucks. At least that's what I am hoping for you! I hate this waiting too! I wish they would just get it over with already so I can move on. With or without the award. I. Called hrsa to see if they have the right E-mail and the woman just said she cannot confirm that info. She also stated that they will not contact you if you do not reply to the E-mail. She stated this is why it is so important to fill the application correctly. Basically, if you miss it oh well. Ughhhhhh how frustrating! I am just so nervous that I missed something already. I am so happy they contacted somebody for you Amy! That is a good sign. Who knows maybe they didn't need Sallie Mae's confirmation because Great Lakes had it already for them. :)

SO, I JUST CALLED SALLIE MAE! AND FINALLY...I GOT SOMEONE ON THE PHONE WHO TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO CHECK FOR ME AND.....TUH DUH!! Some nameless third party has checked my account for a payoff amount all the way back on February 8th!!! She said if she were me, she would call "HRSA" to see if it's them (but honestly, who the heck else could it be??)! I thanked her perfusely and promised I wouldn't call them anymore (I literally have called 5 times since I checked this blog last week). My husband officially thinks I'm nuts. HA! I'm so super excited, I can't stand it!! Please God, someone email me!!!

See I knew it! This is actually what I an hoping what is happening with my Great Lakes loans. They claim no one has looked into it. Boy do I hope they are not truly looking because that is where a lot of my loans are. Sooo happy for you!

Amy, I figured that's what was going on! I'm just going to assume that's what is happening with mine too. Unlike you, I've given up on calling. It won't change anything. And I also believe if they check one, they check them all. It might be how your dates end up changing. Looking back at last year's thread, it looked like emails started the first week in June... so maybe next week for some of us!

Ok update everyone! Thus far I've had my dates change, my credit checked, and 2 of my 3 lenders contacted for payoff amounts. Well today I decided to call Mygreatlakes/US Bank again and they said someone from NELRP contacted them for a payoff amount 4/26/11!!! Everyone should be aware that I contacted them in early May and they said no one had inquired. Just goes to show it depends on who you talk to!

Yay Suzy!! So we're all on the same boat now! I too am on my Droid phone cause getting on my computer's difficult now. So I feel your pain. Anyways Ya'll keep up the posts! I'm going outta town today but will still be checking up!
