Hey guys! Wow I've fallen behind on this blog!

JennBride- Nice to see you on here! I really don't think it's a lottery system, I'm pretty sure it's all based on your debt/income ratio, but who knows for sure! Where did you hear this state-by-state info? Is it a fact?

Timnsara- Very cool about your lender inquiries! So you haven't heard anything from Mygreatlakes either? Sounds like we are in exactly the same boat: loan dates changed, got credit checks, and had lender inquires/payoff obtainment from everyone except Mygreatlakes. Is that right? I hope Amy is right about you having it in the bag then because maybe I do too!

Tess- Do you mind if I ask which hospital you work for? That's cool we live so close! Maybe we actually should go out for a drink and discuss the NELRP program to death!

Amy- FYI, I have not received any corespondance via email. I looked into my credit and lenders on my own.

Speaking of email... I'm getting super paranoid that I'll miss the initial contact from HRSA. People in the past have had it sent to their junk on accident. I have hotmail and check my junk pretty regularly, but is it possbile there is a folder I'm not aware of (spam, etc) it may go to and then I'll miss it?

I am so excited! I just called Sallie Mae and askedif HRSA has called for any info and they told me they did obtain pay off information for June 2011. She also stated that our total of 76000 dollars would be paid in full. OK, she obviously does not understand fully how this works because they will not be paying completely off, right? I think we should all call and compare notes. Anyone who has had a date change already should hopefully be getting a loan inquiry! I hope this works out! We are in sooo mu h debt!

Timnsara- Did you see in my post earlier that Direct Loans told me the same thing?! That the person who called to obtain the payoff quote also promised to pay that amount off? What on earth does that mean? I understand they need the payoff quote, but how can they promise to pay it off without us even signing the contract? That's got me super confused! :uhoh3:

Suz- I thought I saw that on your post. It wad very confusing but I think JennBride got it right. They are just taking the 60% from the pay off amount.

Amy- Good news for you! I did get into my Sallie Mae and it says nothing about HRSA looking into the information. So I can only assume that it would just be that your customer service Rep us a jerk!

Do any of you remember aether or not we gave banking info in the application? Just wondering if they have that info already, or if they contact human resources at work would they be able to give bank info if you have direct deposit. I just remember in past years people getting deposits in their accounts without getting any contact. I just don't understand now they got deposits with no contact!

Sorry for all the typos!

Amy-Sallie Mae responded to me and said they received my authorization to release information but not other correspondence from HRSA. :(

Suzy, I was thinking the same thing! I'm definitely feeling like I could use a drink! I work for Cardinal Glennon here in STL.

I'm excited to hear more of the happenings, so keep 'em coming!

I don't think we included our banking information... I thought that was part of the initial HRSA email that people were sent last year?

Sara-

I thought they asked everyone for their banking info if they were a potential candidate? Not sure of course though.

I completely understand why they'd need the payoff amounts, what I don't understand is why they (the person who contacted Direct Loans) promised to pay that amount. They Direct Loans guy made it sound like two separate parts : 1. They obained the payoff amount, and 2. They said they would pay that amount. I just think that's wierd. But I'm sure I'm just thinking about this WAY too much. After all (unfortunately), nothing we do is going to change rather we become awardees or not, when they contact us, etc. *pulls hair out* Lol

I know it is just so confusing. Now we just wait for e-mails. I keep looking in spam because that would just suck if we missed it. I am like you, totally paranoid I am going to screw something up. I really feel like I have my hopes up way too high!

So I called Sallie Mae again yesterday and I talked to another customer service rep (a female this time) who stated nobody has inquired anything about me from HRSA and she said that she looked at everything since (or until) March. I couldn't understand really what that meant. She even asked if there was some sort of problem (they probably think I'm getting obsessed since I called two days in a row). I think they maybe a little right. I am a little obsessed with this thing! You nurses are right though, nothing we do is going to change whether or not we get the award. I think I look so much into it because it gives me more hope and something more concrete. The waiting game is what plays tricks with your head! Even if I don't get the award, it's not like anything will be different than how it is right now! Sigh. I could just really use the money! I wish someone would just contact my lenders already!! Uuuggghhh!

Oh, and no, I don't think anybody has asked about my banking info yet. I think they ask you that information in the contract email, right?? Or am I mistaken? At least, I don't remember giving them my banking info. Does anyone else?

I am sorry Amy! I think we are all a little obsessed! I guess the truth is nothing any if us do will tell us until we get that letter.:( This just sucks. Patience is not my best quality for sure. I just wish they would let us know already so we would not need to be so obsessed!
