  1. Congratulations!!! :)
  2. No email. I'm pretty sure it's not official yet. There is no signed contract or anything. I just found the award letter in the supporting documents with everything else... because I have been stalking the portal. How did you know they verified your license? Good luck! I hope you hear good news soon too!
  3. Hey goingcrazy here, I just checked my portal and noticed that under supporting documents, I have my award letter! You should go check yours!
  4. I noticed today that I have the same documents! And also an excel spreadsheet "proof of additional payments"??? I feel like the continuation contract is much less talked about, so I'm anxious not knowing what to expect! Good luck to you! Keep me posted on anything new you hear!
  5. I plan to!
  6. Email from Frontier IT:Hey,**** Yes all students are required to purchase an Apple mobile device and there is no recommendation as to which device to purchase as any of the devices you mentioned below (as stated in the catalog) will do everything needed at the University. The iPod and iPhones are the same except the iPod does not have a calling feature that connects to cell phone towers like the iPhone. Many students purchase the iPad because the bigger screen is easier for them to work on but it is really personal preference in how much you wish to spend, what your situation is as far as cell phone plans go and how big of a device you want. If you have anymore questions please let me know, thanks.*Joel PughInformation Technology
  7. MystyqueOne Who did you speak with at Frontier? After reading this thread, I emailed Sharon Feltner about the iPad/iPhone vs Android device and I received an email back from the IT guy there that said they still required an Apple device. I was kind of hoping they didn't! I have an iPhone, but I'm not sure if a tablet would be a better idea...
  8. Thank you! I hope you get good news!
  9. I was not waitlisted for 106... at least they didn't use those words... my email said they could not admit me to class 106, but were impressed and wanted to put my application in to be reviewed for class 109. Haha, we did find out before the 6-8 weeks before bound... but I had applied for a class in August and didn't find out I wasn't admitted until about 6 weeks before 106 bound. So it was the tortuous waiting.. and then some more waiting. Best of luck to you!
  10. I found out a couple weeks ago that I was accepted into 109. I know there were a number of other girls who originally applied to 106, but had their applications pushed back to be considered for 109... I'm not really sure the difference of what happened with me vs being wait listed. I can tell you that we were instructed to respond with our decision by august 31.
  11. I actually applied for class 106... seems like it's pretty competitive this year... I wasn't accepted into 106, but they put my application in with class 109 applicants to be reviewed again. I also applied for the FNP program. Seems like it will make you more marketable. And I've seen FNPs in OB offices! So hopefully you should be able to still do women's health!
  12. Thanks for making me feel better about how it's going to go now that we are married! I had been hearing terrible stories. I did ours on the H&R block website as well. Our federal return was awesome, so no issues there. We also claimed single and 0 all year. I'm more concerned about state taxes since they don't take those out like they do the federal taxes. We owe some state taxes this year, which is from the extra "income" that isn't taxed at the state level, and I just don't want that to get out of control. PS. Congrats on the marriage!
  13. Sallyp911, I'm pretty sure Parent Plus loans do not count. :-/ I think I'm planning on having my taxes professionally done... but I couldn't resist doing them myself online to see how it turned out. My federal refund wasn't hurt, but I ended up owing Missouri state taxes... not much, but I imagine it will be a bit more next year when it's a full year. I can't decide if I want my federal return to cover it next year, or if I want to makes some extra payments throughout the year. Next year will also be different situation since I will have to file married, so I'm not sure how that will work either! Any ideas? What are you guys doing?
  14. Appeals process for if you didn't get awarded? I didn't know there was one... but I have to say I'm not sure the purpose since their funds have been exhausted for the year and you can reapply next year. Unless an appeal would lead to you automatically getting it next year??
  15. Has anyone done anything to account for state and local taxes since those aren't automatically taken out?
