Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

Did everyones loan dates change on the NELRP website? Only 2 out of 5 did for me

2 of my 13 loan dates changed, my credit was checked early March. I'm getting so nervous!! I'm afraid I will not get this because someone did identify theft to me last year and I haven't had everything removed. I hope that doesnt disqualify me. I have a fraud alert on my credit report but I'm still afraid. :(

All of my dates changed. I don't know if that means anything or not to be honest. Maybe it means that only some of your loans qualified. Maybe it means absolutely nothing. But yes, I still can't believe there have been no emails from anybody from this website! I mean, come on. I am getting a little freaked myself. I had called HRSA a few days ago and talked to somebody that had said they are now sending out the emails and that now is just a waiting game. so I don't know why SOMEONE hasn't gotten emails. sigh...

What are these loan dates that people are talking about? And how do I look at mine?

Also, they called me this week and are doing a conference call with my bank to obtain payoff amounts bc my bank picked up my Sallie Mae loans and consolidated them, hopefully I'm still in the running...

whenever you go back to your application that you sent in online (google nursing information system OR nursing education loan repayment program login) you go to where you had entered your loans and the amounts that you owe altogether on each and your original dates will not be there and the dates they look into you will be entered, if they looked into yours. In other words, I sent in my appliication on jan. 4th and the dates were changed to Feb. 11th and 15th. On the blogs last year, those whose dates changed were awarded. So I think there may be a correlation? Don't know for sure though. I HATE THIS WAITING! IT'S TORTURE!!

So I just called HRSA. The rep I spoke with stated letters have went out on a rolling basis on how they came in. When I asked about emails to verify info, she stated only letters were being sent at the present time. Seems like everytime someone calls we get different info. WAITING SUCKS!!! I don't even remember when I mailed that packet off.

Yep they are saying so many different things! They told me two days ago to look for an email!

Yes, they told me to look for an email too for verification. I am going to call again. Does anyone out there reading this blog know if they've sent in all their information before me?? I sent mine in on january 4th! And i've heard nothing, notta, zilp, zilch!!!

So i just called hrsa again...and the woman i spoke with said (and i quote)..."if you are recommended for an award, they will send out an email to verify any banking information." i asked if she knew when this would happen and she said "if you are selected for an award, you will be notified in september. If you aren't selected for an award, you will be notified in october." so does this actually mean that we won't get any notifications at all until september!!??? My goodness. I also asked if she could check and see if they had the right email address on file and she said that she unfortunately could not do that at this point.

I just wish i hadn't gotten my hopes up this high. And i wish that i just would simply stop checking my email like i have o.c.d.!! And just breathe and forget about this for a little while. I guess i'm just trying to keep hope alive. I am trying to look at it this way: It gives me something to look forward to! Good luck everyone still!! Keep posting info..

Correct. When I received my award, I was notified in September that I had been selected. It was actually a nice surprise because I wasn't expecting to hear anything until October.

Ok All, I was an applicant last year and I recieved an email on July 21st requesting banking information last year. However I did not recieve an award. So recieving an email stating for you to send banking information does not mean you got the award its just that you are recommended for one. If they select you, you will get a paper mail letter stating you are the recipient. If you don't you wont get one until October. I was disqualified because my credit report showed a delinquency on my child support from the past although I was current. It was a mistake. I am directly in contact with some one in HRSA whom I've emailed regarding what I needed to do to correct it. Long story short I have had that delinquency removed from my report as suggested and I applied this year. I contacted this individual to change my mailing address as I moved and stated that as of yesterday (June 15) no recommendation emails had been sent out!! :Last year There was also a one month extention to deadline due to freezing on the east coast. Hence the delay in sending email recommendations, So I expect to see emails by June 21st or so this year as there was no extention on deadline. I hope this helps those anxious ones. I must say I was like you the first time I applied but knowing the process now Im not.
