NCLEX tomorrow.... 6/11....

Published

I'm freaking out!!! I've already got the shakes and the upset stomach. I can't decide if I will do the PVT or wait the 48 hours to see the official result...I think I'll end up doing the PVT but it's an hour and a half drive back home & I'm going alone.... ahhh!!!!!!!

When I took the exit test in school it said I had a 68% chance of passing on the first try. I took the VATI predictor yesterday & it said I now have a 94% chance of passing on the first try but I felt like I didn't even know most of the right answers! (sounds like what people say about NCLEX). I have studied my little heart out... every day, for HOURS and HOURS, since graduation on May 19.

I am a terrible, terrible test taker and get severe anxiety. In addition, I ALWAYS change my answers and second guess myself.

I'm not much for prayer, but I started praying this week! And asking those close to me to pray for me, too. I'm trying very hard to just think positive and say, "I have prepared for this for a long time, you got this!" but... it's not really working :(

I know we're supposed to relax the day before NCLEX, but I'm going to go through the AN study guide because I recently discovered it and have not had the chance to look over it.

I've prepared by using Virtual ATI, a Kaplan workbook, and some Saunders (until I realized it seemed much too easy to be NCLEX level) and then yesterday I also discovered the link for the NCLEX 3500.

Anyway, I just had to vent and whine to those of you that know what I'm going through... no one else would understand.

Congrats to you all!! I actually prayed for you all who were taking the exam today, before I went to sleep last night! :) God is so good!! Let's just hope my prayer to get into nursing school is granted! 3.8 overall gpa and only need micro. 400 applied and 100 will be accepted. O_o

Anyways-- congrats! I'm proud of you all! :-)

Yep. Been feeling the same way lately about those questions. Im seeing questions about stuff we never discussed in nursing school. And that's frustrating!! But at least we are seeing them now, and reading the rationales. Maybe that will help us!

, i hope so... kaplan is supposedly harder than nclex anyways so my ignorant rationale is if i can do so so on kaplan ill do stellar on nclex LOL

Lol! Well Kaplan kicks my butt too. So I'm hoping that's true! ;)

WOW!!! Congrats to you all!!! :yeah::w00t:

I'm taking the test tomorrow at 8 AM.

That is all:bugeyes:

LOL!!! This cracked me up. :lol2:

Best wishes to you tomorrow!!!!

hi!

something i was told when applying to nursing school (and i've remembered the words well) was the advice to apply to a minimum of three schools of nursing. yes - you will have a favorite, but don't allow that to cost you in the long run. most schools just across your state line offer "border state" or "border county" tuition even if they don't publicly promote such an offer. while it is competitive to get in to a school of nursing, there's a lot to be said for the caliber of their students, too.

Thanks neen I am hoping n praying so too

Congratulations to all of you! I'm taking my test in a couple weeks and am having bouts of crazy psychosomatic panicky yuckiness. Reading your success stories and the prep that you have done (along with Kaplan scores) has helped me to feel a little less panicky.

I didn't do Kaplan, I did the HURST review. you guys realize that 85 % of what you study in your books, you won't see on nclex realistically. You have to think like a nurse, you have to see long term and have foresight. Which was good for me, because I wasn't book smart. I didn't get A's or B's. I was a C student all the way through nursing school.
