So- it became apparent to me today when I clocked in for my 7a-7p shift that there are some crazy fans of Duck Dynasty! Lol! I have not one but TWO babies named Jase. And yes- I asked them if they were named after DD. I wonder if they know his full name is actually Jasen?? Lol! Anyone else seeing these names?

Well, I am a critical care nurse and nursing for me is MORE stressful than nursing school. It's alot of pressure. In clinicals for nursing school, I wasn't the one ultimately responsible for that pt and I got to leave after 8 hrs. Now I'm there for 12 hrs and I am the one who has to answer for what has/hasn't been done. Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE my job!! I guess it's really just a different type of stress.

Don't let the fear of what you don't know keep you from accepting an amazing job! You can learn everything that will be required of you :) Good luck !!

I'm a new ICU nurse, but some of the nurses I work with told me about a 19 year old girl who came into our ER with arrhythmias from drinking several Monster drinks a day. They coded her twice and she came to ICU with anoxic brain energy. She was discharged to a LTC facility :/ So sad.

I got online in the parking lot on my iPhone. It said delivery successful and I tried to register and it said "we show that you have previously scheduled an exam", or something like that I have checked it like 10 times already! Lol!

Wow. I can't believe it's finally over!! I had 75 questions, 22 SATA, one drag and drop, one picture to chart on,one or 2 dosage calc, several with charts to read, and an ekg to read. I literally had tears flowing down my face when my screen went blue. I did the Pearson Vue Trick and I got the good pop up!!!! :)

I am using the online Hurst review. For core med-surg content it is great. I feel like it helped me solidify those things and I am not afraid of any questions related to those topics. If you have the $300 to spend on it, it is well worth it in my opinion. Hope it helps!

I'm taking it Tuesday at 8:00. I am TERRIFIED!!
