I'm freaking out!!! I've already got the shakes and the upset stomach. I can't decide if I will do the PVT or wait the 48 hours to see the official result...I think I'll end up doing the PVT but it's an hour and a half drive back home & I'm going alone.... ahhh!!!!!!!
When I took the exit test in school it said I had a 68% chance of passing on the first try. I took the VATI predictor yesterday & it said I now have a 94% chance of passing on the first try but I felt like I didn't even know most of the right answers! (sounds like what people say about NCLEX). I have studied my little heart out... every day, for HOURS and HOURS, since graduation on May 19.
I am a terrible, terrible test taker and get severe anxiety. In addition, I ALWAYS change my answers and second guess myself.
I'm not much for prayer, but I started praying this week! And asking those close to me to pray for me, too. I'm trying very hard to just think positive and say, "I have prepared for this for a long time, you got this!" but... it's not really working
I know we're supposed to relax the day before NCLEX, but I'm going to go through the AN study guide because I recently discovered it and have not had the chance to look over it.
I've prepared by using Virtual ATI, a Kaplan workbook, and some Saunders (until I realized it seemed much too easy to be NCLEX level) and then yesterday I also discovered the link for the NCLEX 3500.
Anyway, I just had to vent and whine to those of you that know what I'm going through... no one else would understand.
Okay, don't torture yourself! I had 250 something questions and passed. A cohort had 265 and passed. Do the PVT, it worked for me and ny cohort and many others. Just do it :) it took me awhile to do it, but I did. Yes, I got my quick results in exactly 48 hours from when I started the test. I also got my license registration in the mail already :) another $50, so be prepared. Let me know what the PVT says....
Oh and no, I don't see my name on the IL site... I'm thinking we have to wait for them to get our $50...I did get a letter saying I could work up to 3 months with a preceptor though.

what is this $50 you speak of?!?!? i paid $291 to pearson & continental to take this stupid test. we still have to pay 50 to the state to get our actual license? ((((
Do you know why we paid Continental?? I thought the $91 was for our license honestly...until I got a letter from Continental in the mail that said send IL $50 & they'll send you a license! woo!
I took my test on 6/11, got my result on 6/13 and saw my name on BON NY n license same day. I still haven't received my physical license yet, probably by Monday I will have it.

contenintial is the ppl who admin the test and pearson wrote it..idk..
whatever ..even if it was like 99999$ well maybe not that much but maybe like $100 id still pay it.. i want my license hahah
