I'm freaking out!!! I've already got the shakes and the upset stomach. I can't decide if I will do the PVT or wait the 48 hours to see the official result...I think I'll end up doing the PVT but it's an hour and a half drive back home & I'm going alone.... ahhh!!!!!!!
When I took the exit test in school it said I had a 68% chance of passing on the first try. I took the VATI predictor yesterday & it said I now have a 94% chance of passing on the first try but I felt like I didn't even know most of the right answers! (sounds like what people say about NCLEX). I have studied my little heart out... every day, for HOURS and HOURS, since graduation on May 19.
I am a terrible, terrible test taker and get severe anxiety. In addition, I ALWAYS change my answers and second guess myself.
I'm not much for prayer, but I started praying this week! And asking those close to me to pray for me, too. I'm trying very hard to just think positive and say, "I have prepared for this for a long time, you got this!" but... it's not really working
I know we're supposed to relax the day before NCLEX, but I'm going to go through the AN study guide because I recently discovered it and have not had the chance to look over it.
I've prepared by using Virtual ATI, a Kaplan workbook, and some Saunders (until I realized it seemed much too easy to be NCLEX level) and then yesterday I also discovered the link for the NCLEX 3500.
Anyway, I just had to vent and whine to those of you that know what I'm going through... no one else would understand.
I took my test yesterday as well!!! My computer shut off at 75 questions and I thought I was going to throw up! I felt like the test was too easy. I knew the majority of the content that was on my test, but I didn't know if I was answering the questions right. I felt like since the test shut off at 75 questions, and the questions weren't extremely hard that I had failed. I got into my car and broke down as I was trying the trick, just knowing that I failed. Well as it turns out, I got the good pop up!!!! I could not believe it! I didn't know whether to cry or laugh or what! I still had a long drive home from the center, so I turned my music up as loud as I could and started singing away with joy! :) It is an awesome feeling knowing I passed! (Well praying the trick doesn't fail any of us)
I would highly recommend the NCSBN course for preparation (I did the 3 wk, only because when I started it, I only had 2 wks left till my test). I did a lot of ATI assessments after the VATI was finished (just ask your instructor for some more codes), I used the prioritization, delegation, and assignment book, i used Lippincott's Q & A for the NCLEX-RN, and I also used Lippincott's NCLEX-RN Alternative-Format Questions.
