NCLEX during PANDEMIC & PVT BAD POP UP

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, yesterday 4-12-20 I took my NCLEX in NY (only place that had availability) I live in Pennsylvania. I walked out of Pearson feeling confident due to finding the questions easy & were pretty much self explanatory..I was confident, UNTIL I walked to my car and first thing I did was wip out an old expired card and do the Pearson Vue trick. I got the BAD POP UP. Almost 24 hours laters and still getting the bad pop up.. I am destroyed and so saddened. I haven’t gotten out of bed since I got home yesterday. Now that I think about it I knew it was too easy to be true I literally only had about 4 SATA and my test cut off at 68 questions.. I’m trying to stay positive but it’s so hard. Any ideas if PVT is actually 100% accurate did I do it too soon?

Guess its true!! Failed again!! Trying not to give up

I guess so ?

Totally failed again. Back to studying!!

Was it hard ? Did u study UWorld and mark klemith? What threw u off and how many questions did u stop at and do u have any tips I take it in 3 weeks

It wasn't hard. Everything was familiar. I taken this 5 times. Tried so much. I just dont know how I'm supposed to think about this test. Stopped at 60. I feel like if its not difficult for me, it a failure. It didn't feel hard at all. No sata! Like I literally missed the entire 60!! I don't know where to start. I don't think it a content thing. I need to know how to think and answer. Dizzle I need HELP!!

OMG I thought I was the only one that felt it was too easy and then when I walked out to my car and seen I failed it sucked so bad.. IDK what it is or how to even study anymore.

So everyone

If it feels easy or simple it means you're failing? That seems to be the case. Bless my heart.

If you did very well in school and your school has a high NCLEX pass rate, the higher the level of the questions, the better you are doing. NCLEX looks at last 60 questions. For example, if you are on question 90, it looks at Q 30-89. If you are above the pass line throughout those 60 questions, then it stops. If at any time you dip below the pass line, you will continue to get questions until you have a 60 question stretch above the pass line. The more you answer higher level questions correct in a row, the higher you will be above the pass line and the more consecutive wrong answers it will take to dip below the pass line.

That being said, if you did well in school and studied hard, questions slightly above the pass line may feel easy due to you being prepared (during school and after) for NCLEX. The determination if a question is easy or hard is dependent on the individual test taker. One person may feel that a particular above the pass line question is very difficult and you may feel it is very easy.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass. So what exactly have you been using to study? Which programs?

I did not pass but I went ahead and sent in my application to re-exam.. better luck next time ?

Best attitude to have ❤ good luck to you

I'm freaking out. I just took mine yesterday and tried the pearson vue trick. It says my results are on hold and I can not reschedule another test at this time. It's been over 24 hours and it's still on hold. I'm literally filled with anxiety. I got all of the questions (130) and it was THE HARDEST exam I've ever taken. I feel like the questions were stuff I didn't even study or learn in school. I used UWorld and listened to all of Mark Klimek. I sure hope I passed. I do NOT want to do that again!

I think if u come out Easy then it wasn’t passing because my lvn was hard... did u think study UWorld and mark Klemick was on the test
