NCLEX during PANDEMIC & PVT BAD POP UP

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, yesterday 4-12-20 I took my NCLEX in NY (only place that had availability) I live in Pennsylvania. I walked out of Pearson feeling confident due to finding the questions easy & were pretty much self explanatory..I was confident, UNTIL I walked to my car and first thing I did was wip out an old expired card and do the Pearson Vue trick. I got the BAD POP UP. Almost 24 hours laters and still getting the bad pop up.. I am destroyed and so saddened. I haven’t gotten out of bed since I got home yesterday. Now that I think about it I knew it was too easy to be true I literally only had about 4 SATA and my test cut off at 68 questions.. I’m trying to stay positive but it’s so hard. Any ideas if PVT is actually 100% accurate did I do it too soon?

The Mark Klimek lectures were amazing. He really helps a lot. UWorld is designed just like the NCLEX so yes they prepared me for the medical aspect of it. I felt confident walking in because I knew my labs, a lot of diseases and interventions, a lot of meds and contraindications. However for me it seems like nursing management was a lot of it which stinks. Everyones is different. I don't know, the exam I took seems like it wasn't the basics at all.

I did try UWorld. Mark Klimek as well. Not sure how im thinking about this. I don't think its a content review I need but I might as well start from scratch

Wasn’t nursing management on UWorld and mark klemick lectures

I don't really know how to explain it, but this wasn't really studied on either one. Maybe it's just me. I only slept maybe two hours the night before the test because of anxiety so that definitely could've played a role.

I just took NCLEX and I totally agree it was more management and prioritization. I failed at 130 questions. With a crap load of SATA.

Did u know material but didn’t know how to respond to it

It just didn’t make sense the way questions were asked.

I say you wait til after the covid rules change back to normal So you’ll have more questions to prove you’re competent. I don’t understand how lowering the questions to 130 questions helps anyone. If anything you have more chance to fail.

I used ReMar review.. I had bought the DVD back in the day & the virtual trainer before taking it.. I think I rushed to take the test without fully studying I more like scammed through the books ? But everything on her review was on my NCLEX I just didn’t study it enough to actually know the content.. I also think I need to learn how to answer NCLEX questions bc they will trick you with little words you have to be very careful bc one word can make the answer wrong.. I thought it was easy while I was taking the exam & like I knew everything but I guess I wasn’t paying attention to the little details..

Try doing the Hurst review they break the material down so flawlessly.

or Kaplan - my friends did the Kaplan review and say it’s closer to NCLEX than UWorld.
Personally, I just used UWorld and Hurst.
