I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of... Read More

I could have written the bulk of these posts!

I just took the NCLEX this morning, and it shut off with 75 questions. I am certain I failed. I can't get that out of my head. Nothing is making it better, so I'm going to try and keep busy.

It boggles my mind how much we are expected to know. There were several med questions where I had absolutely NO CLUE on what the med was - never heard of it (so am figuring that it might be one of the 15 "doesn't count" questions, but who knows??) and how we have to know everything from sleep monitors to any/every surgical procedure invented. Yowza! I could study for years and not know all of those. Lots of priority - and those were hard. I was an A student in school, but felt like a nursing school flunk-out today!!

wannaBEanRN- I'm right there with you. I took mine yesterday morning and feel like I failed. I started at 9 and was done by 9:40. When the computer shut off at 75 questions I was horrified. I made good grades all through school but that was unlike anything I had ever taken before. I had tons of meds that I had never heard before, 6 mark all that apply, and the rest were priority. I think there were only 4 or 5 that I knew for sure. I've been checking the state board of nursing every couple of hours hoping that my results will be on there but they're not. I think it takes 48 hours but I keep hoping by some miracle mine will be on early haha. Just remember to breathe!!! haha. Isn't that funny since I'm here worrying nonstop so I know it's impossible. GOOD LUCK!!!

I took mine Monday and it shut off at 75. After two years of hard work and sweat it sure seemed anticlimatic, but I have to say getting my results this morning was the BEST feeling in the world.

Good luck to all that are waiting!!!!

I took mine yesterday and it stopped at 75. I had mixed feelings, I was happy it stopped and panicked that I failed. I feel like I didn't get any correct.

I took the nclex-rn today (june 5th) and had 75 questions. Finished in about 45 minutes. Cried when the computer shut off I made above average grades in school, studied my butt off for a month doing at least 3,000 questions and did really well on a predicter test (arnett).... felt like I didn't know a damn thing. I guess we will know on thursday...
I took mine today and burst into tears when it shut-off at 75. I'm SO glad I found another emotional person!

I've been out of school for 5 years now but still remember that feeling of devastation. The computer turned off at 75 but the answers to the questions were so close that it was impossible to know if I had picked the right ones. I pulled out my book as soon as I got to the car and looked up the ones I remembered and even with the was hard to tell which answer they would say was right. I cried thinking, "All that schooling and it comes down to one stupid, unfair test!!!" A day or two later, I found out that I DID pass!

I was surprised, though, that a good friend of mine that was in my class scoffed at her test. She said it was easy and barely tested her knowledge! She and I were evenly matched in grades and always agreed on the difficulty of tests in school. I don't know why her test would have been so easy and mine so hard. Hers turned off in 75 questions, also. She said the test was almost a joke and I believe her but mine was no picnic. I'm sure I couldn't pass it today if I had to. I agree that there's so much to know for the NCLEX but the sad thing is, you lose it so quickly if you don't use it, and you can't use it all on a daily basis. I've lost a lot already.

Took it this morning and got cut off at 75. I am certain I failed. There was not one question that I was certain I knew what the answer was. Can't wait for the wait to be over.

I am in a panic. I took mine on 6/12. I have been checking Pearson Quick Results hourly even though it takes 48 hours... because I can't help myself. I had 75 questions. My Kaplan instructor told us to pretend we have 6 hours to take 75 questions and to take our time. If we go past 75, then pick up the pace a little. I took 2 hours and 45 minutes to answer 75. I was praying that it would shut off because I would have seriously ran out of time. I had 3 Select all that apply, 1 drag and drop, tons of prioritizing, one math question (oddly towards the end of my test ... like 67 or something), some crazy pharm questions, and several therapeutic communication. I thought it was pretty easy. I am hoping that is not a bad thing.
