  1. I work Med Surge Teley on nights we are usually 1:7 but I have taken care of 9 and 10 on a regular basis, if we are working with LPN's then we also have to oversee their patients, so your numbers can add up quick.
  2. In my school they wanted us to score an 850 for the exit HESI. I made 3 attempts 788, 828, and then an 838. Well needless to say after all that stress on that test, I passed my boards with 75 questions in under an hour. I personally have little faith in the HESI as a judge for passing boards.
  3. Mine was listed at 48 hours from scheduled start. Good luck.
  4. I took Kaplan last month. And tested last week and passed my boards with 75 questions. Did I pass because of Kaplan? Umm no. I passed because my school prepared me for it. It was the biggest waste of money. Their whole selling point is their "decesion tree" , which can be used less than 20 % of the time. All we did was sit in a classroom for 3 hours a night and answer questions. So if you need an expensive study group then it is worth your money. I used none of their strategies on my boards. I regret spending the money, but it is a case of live and learn.
  5. 1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? i took kaplan, but i refuse to give them any credit for my passing (imho kaplan is a waste of money). i believe it was my school that prepared me. i did some questions off of nclex 3500 and some off of saunders 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? we had the hesi and had to get an 850 on it or it delayed us taking the test first time i got 788, 828 and then last score was an 839. and yet i passed the nclex 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? quick result state , got results in 48 hours 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? i felt like i never saw half of the stuff, alot of pharm i didnt know. i felt a mixture of relief, confidence and total fear of failing (emotional wreck) 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes thank goodness and i passed with 75 questions.
  6. Found out today I passed! I am so thankful and relieved. Good luck to all still waiting results
  7. I took mine yesterday and it stopped at 75. I had mixed feelings, I was happy it stopped and panicked that I failed. I feel like I didn't get any correct.
  8. I took my NCLEX yesterday. I really don't think I could have prepared for it. I had alot of questions I had no idea about. Mostly mine was Pharm and priority type questions. I didn't have any math and only one select all that apply. My test stopped at 75 questions and like everyone elese I do not feel real good about it. I will no tommorrow evening though as I live in a quick result state. Crosses her fingers and waits.
