I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of pharm.(which I suck at), and a ton of priority questions. I hate this waiting and it's only been one day.
Congrats to Shanangins, Victoria and Purp! This is just the very best feeling. I keep waking up each morning and thinking "I did it, I am an RN"
I work at a facility where there are lots of LPNs. They have all been so warm and supportive. I am greatful to be an RN and mindful of the responsability that comes with it. I refuse to be snotty to other levels of nursing and hope the "magic" of this acheivement always stays with me.
I could have written the bulk of these posts!
I just took the NCLEX this morning, and it shut off with 75 questions. I am certain I failed. I can't get that out of my head. Nothing is making it better, so I'm going to try and keep busy.
It boggles my mind how much we are expected to know. There were several med questions where I had absolutely NO CLUE on what the med was - never heard of it (so am figuring that it might be one of the 15 "doesn't count" questions, but who knows??) and how we have to know everything from sleep monitors to any/every surgical procedure invented. Yowza! I could study for years and not know all of those. Lots of priority - and those were hard. I was an A student in school, but felt like a nursing school flunk-out today!!
wannaBEanRN- I'm right there with you. I took mine yesterday morning and feel like I failed. I started at 9 and was done by 9:40. When the computer shut off at 75 questions I was horrified. I made good grades all through school but that was unlike anything I had ever taken before. I had tons of meds that I had never heard before, 6 mark all that apply, and the rest were priority. I think there were only 4 or 5 that I knew for sure. I've been checking the state board of nursing every couple of hours hoping that my results will be on there but they're not. I think it takes 48 hours but I keep hoping by some miracle mine will be on early haha. Just remember to breathe!!! haha. Isn't that funny since I'm here worrying nonstop so I know it's impossible. GOOD LUCK!!!
I took the nclex-rn today (june 5th) and had 75 questions. Finished in about 45 minutes. Cried when the computer shut offI made above average grades in school, studied my butt off for a month doing at least 3,000 questions and did really well on a predicter test (arnett).... felt like I didn't know a damn thing. I guess we will know on thursday...
I took mine today and burst into tears when it shut-off at 75. I'm SO glad I found another emotional person!
