How many got only 75 questions?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of pharm.(which I suck at), and a ton of priority questions. I hate this waiting and it's only been one day. :o

Found out today I passed! I am so thankful and relieved. Good luck to all still waiting results :nurse:

I've been out of school for 5 years now but still remember that feeling of devastation. The computer turned off at 75 but the answers to the questions were so close that it was impossible to know if I had picked the right ones. I pulled out my book as soon as I got to the car and looked up the ones I remembered and even with the book...it was hard to tell which answer they would say was right. I cried thinking, "All that schooling and it comes down to one stupid, unfair test!!!" A day or two later, I found out that I DID pass!

I was surprised, though, that a good friend of mine that was in my class scoffed at her test. She said it was easy and barely tested her knowledge! She and I were evenly matched in grades and always agreed on the difficulty of tests in school. I don't know why her test would have been so easy and mine so hard. Hers turned off in 75 questions, also. She said the test was almost a joke and I believe her but mine was no picnic. I'm sure I couldn't pass it today if I had to. I agree that there's so much to know for the NCLEX but the sad thing is, you lose it so quickly if you don't use it, and you can't use it all on a daily basis. I've lost a lot already.

Took it this morning and got cut off at 75. I am certain I failed. There was not one question that I was certain I knew what the answer was. Can't wait for the wait to be over.

Just took the exam today and I too stopped at 75. I walked out of there like I had no idea whathit me. I will find out in the AM tommorrow...

I am in a panic. I took mine on 6/12. I have been checking Pearson Quick Results hourly even though it takes 48 hours... because I can't help myself. I had 75 questions. My Kaplan instructor told us to pretend we have 6 hours to take 75 questions and to take our time. If we go past 75, then pick up the pace a little. I took 2 hours and 45 minutes to answer 75. I was praying that it would shut off because I would have seriously ran out of time. I had 3 Select all that apply, 1 drag and drop, tons of prioritizing, one math question (oddly towards the end of my test ... like 67 or something), some crazy pharm questions, and several therapeutic communication. I thought it was pretty easy. I am hoping that is not a bad thing.

I took my NCLEX on 6/12 and when reading the info sheet before entering the test room, had a minor panic attack when I read that the TIME YOU TAKE to answer the question is considered in how you answer the question. !?!?!?!?!

I had to force myself to BREATHE and take my time when I was thinking I should ANSWER ANSWER ANSWER.

But, I still only took an hour to answer about 95-100 questions...Geez, that worries me that I went too fast.

I absolutely did not think that test was easy...and was ready for therapeutic communication questions and got NONE. Crazy how different this exam is for all of us and most of feel PANIC when we're done. I should know my results in about 8 more hours.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck. I just checked the computer again before my post and it said "Your exam results are not available at this time." I am waiting for Quick Results but they probably won't be available until after 2pm.

I read that same sheet and mine absolutely did not say that. I would have zeroed in on that statement like a hawk to its prey! :nuke: You are talking about the NCLEX-RN, right? It was about you are going to be audio/video recorded, the dry erase board, raising your hand, no food, no beverages, no releasing of the NCLEX questions, etc. I don't think Kaplan would mislead their students. So far everyone from our school that has taken it so far has only gotten 75 questions and passed it. That makes me feel a lot better about my results. I certainly don't want to be the student to break that trend. :uhoh21: :lol2:

I took mine Tuesday the 12th, and had 75. I only had one drug calc, maybe one choose all, some drugs on there that I had not heard of, but not all the drugs have to be "real" drugs either. Most of mine were priority and teaching effectiveness. The teaching ones were harder because I had never heard of the procedures or tests..... I cried after I was finished, mostly that it was over, but some because I was totally unsure if I passed or not!! I should find out later today (Thursday) Good luck to everyone!!

Yes, the NCLEX-RN, and my classmate who was also taking it the same time as me noticed it as well...so I didn't misread anything.

Okay. Well let's agree to disagree. Mine did not say that (and neither has any of my friends in Tennessee) and yours did. That is so odd. Oh, well. If yours did say that, I am not sure what it was worth because.....

I passed. :lol2: :balloons: :biggringi :monkeydance: :nurse: :nurse: :nurse: :kiss :clown: :D :roll :yelclap: :loveya: :yeah: :w00t: :icon_hug:

Yay! I passed with 75 questions and I soooo took my time (not because they were hard - because I didn't want to make a mistake) 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Congrats! I'm sure you passed too. :nuke:
