The options for stateside USAF OR Nursing are: Travis AFB, Sacramento, CA Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV SAMMC, San Antonio, TX Kessler AFB, Biloxi, MS Wright-Patterson AFB, OH Langley, VA and I think there are 2 options in FL

Hi all! Has anyone taken the CNOR exam this year? If so, any recommendations? There are no stats on the CCI website. Would appreciate some feedback regarding questions/your feeling about it, etc. I'm taking it next week!! Thanks!!

I am getting my packet together, and am also applying for OR. My recruiter wanted me to submit for the August board, but I'm sitting for my CNOR this month so am delaying until next board selection (January?). Good luck!!!

Which AF course is required for the CNOR (certified OR nurse) bonus?

Air Force will take nurses to age 48. You should talk to a Health Professions recruiter.

I was informed the AF doesn't recruit educators directly. (via Retired nurse/USAF Colonel and recruiter)

Argo-I'm with Methodist. I'm so excited! I used to work in L&D and circulate the c/s--so I have a good feel of the environment. I'm a quick study--but have also heard it'll be a year before I feel confident. 😄

Our Periop 101 is very much a group self study. Our group of residents literally sit in a classroom of computers and go through the AORN PERIOP 101 modules one by one. I've had 3 days in the OR so far. This week we will shadow a scrub tech. I am loving the information...and am eager to be in the OR full time! Squeeeee!!!

I got into an awesome periop residency and started this month! Periop 101 and clinicals began this week. So excited!!!
