2 days ago about noon time, I was out buying Jewelry for my wife. I had the onset of chest pain radiating up into my neck and left arm. I took 5 325 mg aspirins and a couple of nitro I had , pain getting worse and diaphoretic. Drove straight to the hosp. I work at. Only a 5 minute drive. 30 minutes later I was in the cath lab having 2 stents put in. My RCA was totally occluded.
No wonder they are a Certified Cardiac Care Center. Stopped the MI before any damage was done. Top notch ER I work at.Now I am home typing this.
Cool huh.
ready to go golfing as soon as the Cath hole in my groin is ready

MEN!!!!,....none of us "girls" would ever do something as silly as driving ourselves to the ER durring an MI!!!!Glad to hear all went well,..hope you were albe to finish your purchase first???
:lol2:
:imbar Yeah we would. Actually turned out to not be an MI, but it sure felt like one. I had worked 4 12 hr shifts in a row, had been experinecing severe CP on and off ofr a couple days, drove home, called the floor to let them know I made it, and they handed off to my cardiologist. He wanted to send a squad, my stubborn behind refused and drove myself in. Almost passed out twice.
Straight to the cath lab, fortunately everything turned out OK
Anyway, glad to hear you're okay Tom. Have fun on that golf course, but take it easy. And, what did ya get your wife????

As a student I'm always looking for the "what can I learn from this" aspect of things. From this lesson I learned to avoid buying the missus jewlery at all costs.Be well Tom
HA HA!
Tom...glad you are ok; butdriving yourself?????? i wont berate you only:trout: and yes, i would have completed my purchase while waiting for ems..cant waste time!!!
Altho the price could have extended his MI!
1 used he wrong word there my wife drove, Live so close waste of time calling ems.
2 Yes I got my wife a necklace with a spiral shaped gold pendant with Rubies on it. pricey but very nice and she is worth it.
3 Yes 5 aspirins is overkill I take 5 every day, ! for the heart, and 4 in case I have that big stroke, I want that big one that takes you out completely.
4 yes I beleieve in stress reduction therapy, aka GOLF. People at work think I am so laid backthat sometimes they wonder if I'm still asleep
