Nursing Students NCLEX

Has anyone ever waited that long for a NCLEX testing date? She's already been offered a job at a wonderful hospital but can't do a thing until she at least has a testing date. It's been over a month. Anyone have any suggestions?

She doesn't follow Allnurses but I do so I'm hoping someone can give some insight.

Thanks.

Cathylady: Thank you! I loved Radford. VCU is a great school too.

I graduated April 27 and didn't my ATT until a month later. I'm in Iowa and I know that my BON has been very busy processing all of the applications coming in after other nursing schools graduated after we did. Hopefully you hear something soon !

I graduated on May 23 and just received my ATT yesterday, so three weeks for me. I'm in MA. Good luck to your daughter!

I graduated on May 11, and I am still waiting for my ATT. :(

What state are you in wifemotherstudent?

I graduated in August of 2010 and didn't test until November, but that was admittedly by my own choice. I wanted the time to study and really make sure I had it down.

There's a lot to do to register, as I recall. It is easy to miss a step...see if she will review her steps and make sure nothing got skipped!

Depending on the time of year, ATTs can take a long time to arrive.

I received my ATT in Virginia. My class applied at the same time (seriously, we had a day set aside for filling out the application, ordering our transcipts, etc.). It took anywhere from 1 week after graduation to 8 weeks after graduation for people to receive their ATT...and we all did it on the same day.

She should definitely check that all paperwork was submitted and that her transcript has been sent directly to the BON. If everything is in, then all she can do is wait.

Here in Indiana I received (and most of my classmates) my ATT less than a week after graduation and have already taken and passed the NCLEX. I would stop trying to call and go to the campus to see what is going on. It sounds like the school hasn't sent in there confirmation of meeting the requirements. Good luck!

Graduated April 16, 2010. NCLEX-RN June 16, 2010. EXACTLY 2 months... Scheduled as soon as I received the ATT. Just a thought, CHECK YOUR JUNK EMAIL. I don't think they physically mail those out. Mine went straight to my junk mail.

Graduated May 18th. Still waiting for mine!

Call your board of nursing. I waited for over a month, then finally got off my butt to make a call, and the representative on the phone just casually said to me "Ok I just approved you, you should get your ATT in 24 hours." It's really supposed to be automatic, but I guess if you take the initiative, they might dig your application out from a big pile of applications. I'm frustrated that I waited so long like a dummy without calling, but still happy that the wait is now over.

You can call the BON to find out how long they have to send the ATT after they receive affidavit of graduation from her school. I'm in Texas and they have 15 business days from the day they receive the affidavit of graduation until they send verification to Pearson Vue, and then PV has 24 hours to send out the ATT. Texas BON webite allows you to check the status of your application so you can see the date they received affidavit from the school. I graduated May 10 as well, BON received affidavit from the school on May 21, and I received my ATT on June 7. Tested today.
