  1. I graduated May 11. Got ATT May 31st. Took NCLEX June 6th and passed with 82 questions. My teachers urged us to take it within 4 weeks of graduation, but I think it just depends on the person and how prepared you feel. Just don't wait too long! You want your nursing school information to still be fresh.
  2. Cathylady: Thank you! I loved Radford. VCU is a great school too.
  3. I'm in Virginia too! Graduated from Radford University with my BSN on May 11. They didn't have our transcripts finished and sent until the 16th for some reason and even after that, the VA BON didn't receive them until the 22nd. Some of my classmates called the BON and they said they had to process the transcripts according to the date they were received. Needless to say, I didn't get my ATT until May 31 because they were several days behind due to high volumes of them coming in at this time. I was able to schedule a fairly early date (June 6th) took and passed the NCLEX and FINALLY get to start my job Monday! I hope your daughter gets her ATT soon; it is really stressful waiting around.
  4. @legallybrunette224: I was sort of able to tell which questions I got wrong because the question after would be fairly basic and more content based. My last 5 questions were extremely hard but I could tell I got them right because the level of difficulty remained the same; I had an exhibit and several priority one's at the end and my very last question was a select all that apply. I was fairly sure that I got the last one correct so I did actually leave the test center feeling like I passed. I did the PVT about 30 minutes after my test ended and got the good pop up. The next day my RN license number was posted on my BON.
  5. I took my NCLEX RN just a few days ago on the 6th and now have my license number from my BON :) I felt like it was hard but not as crazy hard as I expected. I had 82 questions total and out of those I had around 8 select all that apply, 1 drag and drop, and then I had 2 multiple choice questions that had exhibits (a button you pushed on and extra information with like 3 tabs you could look at), and 1 question that had a picture. I was sooo irritated that I didn't get any math questions because (like you) I felt that they would be my saving grace. In my opinion, NCLEX is EXTREMELY similar to Kaplan (even in the way it looks). I saw questions on NCLEX that I'm sure I had in Kaplan question trainers and qbank. As for studying, my school required us to have Kaplan access throughout the program so when it was time to study I mainly utilized the qbank, and question trainers from that and read the Kaplan book for content I was unfamiliar with. If you are scoring above 60% on all your Kaplan stuff then you are doing great :) I was only doing 60-65% and I felt prepared.
  6. Congrats! I took my NCLEX RN yesterday at 8 am and my license was posted this morning by 9 am. I'm in Virginia...I guess it just depends on how fast each BON processes everything.
  7. I agree with Tim W. Review content and keep on doing those questions. Once your kaplan scores are 60 or above you should be ready!
  8. Right?! That's exactly how I felt. I wished I had math over SATA!
  9. Congrats!!! It worked for me too! Nothing like logging on and seeing you have a license :)
  10. I didn't have any calculation questions (out of 82)! I was surprised and kind of irritated because I feel math problems are one of my strong areas. Oh well, I passed; that's all that matters I suppose :)
  11. I did! Got 61% on 7 and 65% on 6. Took NCLEX yesterday and I have a license number from my Board today :)
  12. PVT worked for me! Took NCLEX RN yesterday and found out on automated phone line this morning that I have a license! I'm in VA
  13. It is excruciatingly long and boring. If I had that many questions on the actual NCLEX I probably would have freaked. Good luck!!! I'm sure you will do fine!
  14. Yes...I had questions that were almost exactly like ones that I had in the kaplan question trainers. For content I briefly reviewed the RN course book for Kaplan. On the question trainers I scored between 58-65 percent for all of them. I did a 65 percent and 61 percent on trainer 6 and 7! I think you're supposed to aim for 60 percent on the last two so I guess I did alright. I also did all of the qbank questions (it was required by my school before graduation) and scored 55-60 on all of those. I've been getting the good pop up from Pearson today. Find out tomorrow if I passed :)
  15. I took NCLEX RN this morning and it was VERY similar to Kaplan in my opinion.
