entry level nurse in Houston Texas
Thanks for the advise. My previous comment was supposed to be "I am NOW focusing in LTC..." Im sorry for the typo error. And yes you are right, it is good to know the basics when you are just starting your nursing career. Right now, I have applied in different LTC's but nobody replied yet I'm going to start next 2 weeks as volunteer nurse in Memorial Hermann.

Home Health care RN?
thanks for the info. I agree 30 is a lot. Anyway, I am not forced to get 30 visits in a week. I am just new to HH care. Although I have 2 years exp in the Philippines, Im still a new nurse here in USA. I know the first month will be hard and confusing. I dont really have much idea about Hh care. There will be orientation though, and I will be accompanied by a Nurse for my first 5 visits with different procedures. I pray it all goes well.

Home Health care RN?
yeah, It's actually good money. But what I really want is hospital experience. But anyway, I don't wanna be picky for my first job. So if since 1997, the pay was 85, then it's really a failing economy... it's like past 10 yrs and it didn't change. sad.

Home Health care RN?
i applied in different nursing positions, hospitals, LTC, and etc... I have a couple of interviews. Today, i had an interview for the HH care RN position. I dont know if i get hired, the interviewer just told me she will call me next week for the orientation. Now, the pay is $85 per visit and $0.45/mile for mileage. They also offer medical insurance, and bonus and paid vacation if you made 30 visits in 1 week. I am a new nurse here in USA. I don't know if this is a good deal. Your opinions will be helpful. Thank you.

entry level nurse in Houston Texas
I have been looking for a job in different hospitals that hire new nurses but no luck. I have 2 years RN experience in Philippines. I still would like to apply as entry level here in Houston, TX. I am just scared that if I apply as an experienced nurse, they will put me on the floor, on the first day, as the only nurse there and there would be no one that I can ask if I dont know how to do this and that. I would apply if someone will supervise me even for 1 or 2 weeks. I just passed my Nclex this month. Anyody from Houston who knows hospitals that are currently hiring new nurses with under 1 or 2 weeks supervision? Responses are highly appreciated.

Failed the Jurisprudence in TX
okay so i found out i passed thru quick result. Good news. Bad news is I failed the Jurisprudence hehehe... I think I was super excited about the good news that i took the 50 item test for granted.. Now they said I can take it again in 7 days. My question is "Will my Name still appear in Tx BON when they update their website next week?" Or it wont appear there till i pass the jursiprudence. Thanks.

quick result
my state is Texas, I think it's in the list of states participating in quick result. I'd probably give it a few hours more...
