lexuan 30 Posts Has 3 years experience. Mar 11, 2010 I too had very bad throbbing pain in my legs and feet after working. I was working 4-5 eight hour shifts a week and the pain got really bad. I decided to try the Crocs since I had heard such great things about them. I broke down and spent the $40 for the "work" Crocs with no holes in them and I will never wear anything else to work now...they are so light and comfortable!! I have no pain at all anymore...just the usual tired feeling of running all day. Hope you find what works for you!!

They are thick and maintain their elasticity (I've had a few pairs for several years). I'm short, so I have to fold the tops down, but they have never cut into the back of my knees.http://www.allheart.com/ckmedisoc.html

Mar 11, 2010 If you don't like the regular thick kind of compression stockings, Bright Life Direct http://www.brightlifedirect.com/ sells a thinner, silky, sheerer style (brand ALLEGRO) that is less than 1/2 the price of the other stockings with compressions of up to 40mmHg. Best time to buy is when they have their 'buy 3 get one free' sale a few times a year (I buy 12 pr at a time). I buy the medium compression pantyhose style for about $15/pr and wear the hell out of them. They last quite a long time for being so cheap, though you have to throw out ANY style after a certain amount of time as the fibers become worn out and no longer deliver proper compression. Recommend buying a pair application gloves (about $3/pr) to help with getting them on as they are slick little buggers.

But it also helps relieve some of the soreness, especially if you don't have anyone to massage them for you, and it stretches the tendons and muscles in your feet.

Haven't try compression socks, but after all the positive posts I think I might get some. I also had some success with SAS shoes, but prefer the crocs. There is another brand sold near the nursing shoes that are lightweight like crocs and I like those as well.
