U.S.A. Arizona

Hi all arizona nurses :)

Thought I would introduce myself I am at present a UK RN but am in the process of moving to USA, Phoenix Arizona to be more precise. Had an interview with St Joesephs last monday and recieved a start date of January 2006 :uhoh3: I know it seems a long way of, but all the immigration paper workd takes forever  .

Moving to arizona with my husband and two teenage girls :coollook: we are really excited and wondered if there are any nurses out there who would like to tell me of their experiences with living and working in Arizona.

Now come on on't be shy  if your lke me carn't stop me talking once I start :rotfl: .

looking forward to reading all about you :)

Well I'm just around the corner :) Amazing how small the world is getting.

Well, I heard from the lawyers yesterday...the London consulate has been sent our file..now we have to wait for an interview date!!!

At least it's another step closer

Yeah:balloons:

Fingers crossed it will be soon.

Our I-140 has still not been approved:o My only consolation is that we are going to Phoenix in August for a holiday, it will give me a temporary fix.

I hope you have a fantastic visit to AZ in August. We've thought about a USA visit so many times but we were advised that as we are waiting on Green cards we would probably have trouble getting in for fear that we wouldn't leave.

I must admit, we probably wouldn't if we got there

Well just an update it has been over a year since we filed for our I-140:uhoh3: and no sign of it yet, have just gone through the thread and am amazed that after all this time am still in the UK. The positive note is everyone i know have now received there I-140 approval so things are beginning to move along, still believe i will be out in Phoenix AZ this year, so all those out there already a BIG HI and to those like me waiting (not so patiently) keep the spirit's up and we will all have a big party when we finally arrive :balloons: :balloons: :monkeydance: :monkeydance:

One year and no approval? Something is quite fishy with that. Something did not get included with your file that needed to be there. It never takes that long.

Do you have an actual copy of the receipt, or is that what the agency is telling you? Have you done an investigation into your file on your own?

Just went through this thread wow a long time.

Well the good news is we are actualy moving to AZ on May 4th 2008:balloons:

Got my I-140 approval August 2006 while on vacation in AZ we also purchased a home in Anthem while we were there, then of course retrogresion hit was delayed with that visited AZ 4 times since then and while we were at my home in AZ this march heard from the embassy we had our interview date in April, so came back from vacation 30th March interview and medical 2nd and 3rd April and been selling our stuff since then so after a long time i can finaly say we are definatly moving and will be there May 4th 08, start my new job at St Joe's June 2nd if all the license stuff is sorted. Our house in Anthem is beautiful and complete with a swiming pool in the back yard ready for those high temps carnt wai to start our new life but most of all get away from the rain and grey clouds.

See you all soon:D

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations!! You will love Anthem...my husband has a production company and has done a lot of work on Cross of Christ church there. We have thought about moving there a few times because we love the town so much. The people are extremely nice and you will have gorgeous views around town. :) Good luck on your move and keep us posted!
