Hi all arizona nurses :)

Thought I would introduce myself I am at present a UK RN but am in the process of moving to USA, Phoenix Arizona to be more precise. Had an interview with St Joesephs last monday and recieved a start date of January 2006 :uhoh3: I know it seems a long way of, but all the immigration paper workd takes forever  .

Moving to arizona with my husband and two teenage girls :coollook: we are really excited and wondered if there are any nurses out there who would like to tell me of their experiences with living and working in Arizona.

Now come on on't be shy  if your lke me carn't stop me talking once I start :rotfl: .

looking forward to reading all about you :)

Congrats on the move!

After 21 years here in Apr we still like the weather... as long as the pool is there for the summers and the spa is there in the winter we're good... :)

This year's rain with low temps is the 1st we've seen; the norm would be days and days of highs in the 105 to 110 range... but, I don't mind cool so... bring it on! :)

The N/S/E/W grid was confusing to us too... but, it sure is easy to get used to!

Oh yeah, the sunny days are great for planning things outside ...... but we tend to hibernate during the hottest parts of the summer.

Like Kay said, you only go outside if you have a pool ..... but wait until August and that pool water temp is 95 degrees. Nothing like taking a nice hot bath outside while it's 115 degrees :D

Well we have been here for 6 months, and i love every single second of every part of my life. The new job is fantastic way beyond my expectations the staff are fantasic so supportive we have truley become great friends in a relativly short time.

My house is slowly comming along of course my pool was a godsend in the high summer temps, swiming under the stars was a nightly experience that everyone should experience, i think i walk around with a huge grin on my my perminantly:D.

Have had a couple of minor dings in my new car but even that didnt put me of, the sunset are out of this world i can not describe how beautiful they are, would love to get into photography just because of the scenary.

Each morning i drive down the freeway and gaze at the mountains surrounding the valley, i truely have fell madly in love with AZ:redbeathe my paradise on earth.

Good for you BB we are still having the time of our lives and we have been here for nearly 2yrs - second summer loved it - when we are having time together we keep thinking we are on holiday lol.

I am especialy grateful seeing a the UK has had such dreadful weather my eldest DD who returned to the uk in July is comming back out in a couple of weeks keeps telling me how bad it is back over there, i still keep waiting for someone to burst our bubble but everyday we are here is better than the last and we to still tink sometimes we are on hols we have to pinch ourselves to realize this is not a dream its our lives:D One day Belina we will all get together and compare notes on our lifes still not seen your pool yet :D

You are all more than welcome - you should come soon and bring the welsh scotish pair them who live next door with you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
