Mispronunciations That Drive You Nuts

Car-dee-ya-zem.

It's car-di-zem. Or dil-ti-ya-zem.

Cardiazem isn't a real thing.

Can I get an amen?!

I know this is a realllly old post, but thought I'd just add that there is a town here in Michigan named "Saline" and it's pronounced "Suh-Leen". When I started nursing school, I couldn't figure out why everyone was pronouncing it "Say-lean!"

I had nursing instructor that I adored she was tough, fair, and loved to teach. However, she had an accent and every time she said organism it sounded like orgasm. Burger was booger.

A patient once told me somebody should come up with a pill she called Loralax. Lortab plus laxative. She may have been onto something there. Maybe somebody already has? I don't give Lortab in CVI.

My PA pronounces it "metoproprolol" lol just about makes my head hurt lol

I guess that's what you need if you are planning a lotus birth! (Don't look it up if you have a weak stomach!)
