Thanks! Merry Christmas to every person that reads this post.
I got off work this morning after working a 12-hour night shift, and I'll return to my second job this evening for another 12-hour shift. Since I really have nothing going on at home, I don't mind working on holidays. :)

Merry Christmas! We already have 4 kiddos on the surgical schedule. I hope next year these kids get something better than a trip to the OR.

Thanks and merry Christmas to you too. I'm right on a 6-hr duty at the Out-Patient Department. It's just like every other day, though today, it is not as busy as it used to be. I will close by 8pm. Have a nice celebration.

My mom resides in a personal care home. I went around and thanked all the staff for being there on Christmas, including house keeping. It amazed me that all the regulars were there.

Merry Christmas to you all! I will be working PM's today.
While no one LIKES working holidays, it's always been a comfort to me to remember that while I may not want to be there, neither do they! I'm 31, and I've done patient care half my life (starting at 16 as a CNA), so I've really never NOT worked holidays. If I can make the day better for the patient that would also MUCH rather be at home with family, then I've done them (and myself!) a lot of good.

I will be clocking in at 1830 also. No biggie for me; weekend/holiday work is the norm. Merry Christmas, all.

I'm working today. Having a pretty good day so far (as evidenced by me posting here at AN!)
Thanks to everyone everywhere for working today....including the folks at the takeout Chinese that I hope to get afterwork if I'm out on time. Happy Holidays!!!

No work for me except in the kitchen...
Azhiker, hope your kiddies aren't going for anything serious, and they get to go home today for the rest of their Christmas.
May I wish the very best to all of you and your patients, and hope you have a peaceful and blessed day.

I have never minded working the holidays, I celebrate the holidays a few days before anyway. I do it in the hopes that if myself or any of mine are in the hospital during the holidays, we will have staff just as good taking care of us.
Merry Christmas to all!!

I split a 7a-7p with a co-worker today and just worked 1p-7pm....Wasn't a bad shift at all! All of our family festivities are on Christmas eve and I was off yesterday so this worked out great! I work in subacute rehab, so my patients had a day off from therapy and most all of them had visitors for the entire shift.
