I was wondering if anyone saw "Meet the Fockers". Apparently it's funny to belittle nurses, especially the males. Why do people still wonder why no one wants to go into this field?

Why is everyone so sensitive? It's a MOVIE!!! Don't be offended so easily.

I don't know. It wouldn't be so funny to trash SAHM's, ethnic minorities, or teachers, but ha ha ha when it's nurses well that's a riot. I think Babs is a real bag of crappola and wouldn't really be so eager to see one her movies. So... I won't see it. But again, it is just a movie and may well be trash like much of the other stuff out there. In other words, not worth one's time or worry.

I just read a couple of reviews and it is "a stinker". Dog humping jokes, Bab's on top of Gaylord's future father-in-law in a sexual-tinged massage, flatulance jokes, 30% of the jokes are related to saying "Focker", talk of circumcision, masturbation, toilet humor . . . . recommended NOT for middle-schoolers. Sounds like just the kind of humor junior high school hormonal boys would like.
I'm sad - I loved the first movie.

I was really disapointed when i saw the previews for this. I had thought it would have been as good as the first, but there is no way i'm going to spend 10 dollars to watch people talk about sex and make crass remarks. IMHO, This kind of movie explains why teenagers are the way they are.

I don't think I've even seen "Meet the Parents", but this seems to be funny. I'm not a movie watching person, so I doubt I'll go see it.
But as for degrading nurses, would it be any better if it were flight attendants, especially male flight attendants? What I am trying to say is, the media will pick on anyone and everyone if it makes a few bucks. Stand proud for what you are, and what you do!!! Don't let anyone take that pride from you!
Merry Christmas! :) :Santa5:

Exactly!

What about the enormous lack of effective parenting?
Oh, and this was not nearly as funny as the first.

I'm a male in nursing, and I think it's hysterical. And if you paid attention in the first movie as to Greg's (Gaylord's) opinion as to why he went into nursing instead of going to med school, it's great. He got in the high 90 something percentile on his MCATs and decided that being able to relate to his patients is more important than being called Dr.
So lighten up, listen to the positive side of things, and have a Happy New Year!!

Yet most every nursing program in a metro area gets 200 applications for every 1 seat available.
Personally I wasn't offended by it, but I learned to lighten up a long time ago.
