I'm a male in nursing, and I think it's hysterical. And if you paid attention in the first movie as to Greg's (Gaylord's) opinion as to why he went into nursing instead of going to med school, it's great. He got in the high 90 something percentile on his MCATs and decided that being able to relate to his patients is more important than being called Dr.
So lighten up, listen to the positive side of things, and have a Happy New Year!!

Why is everyone so sensitive? It's a MOVIE!!! Don't be offended so easily.

My thoughts exactly! It's just a movie, intended to entertain. If it looks like it would be offensive to you, don't go see it. I saw it last night, and agree there was a tad too much toilet humor (what my mother used to call "Toilet Talk"), but most of it was pretty funny.

Dont be so overly sensitive to these little things

Adding Dustin and Barbara was fantastic.
Hilarious the whole way through

I saw the movie this weekend, too and laughed and laughed... but I did cringe each time a joke was made about male nurses...

If your looking for a cure for aids or cancer DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!! If what u r looking for is a very very funny movie (that didn't offend anyone of the nurses I went with) then go see this movie. It is wonderful. I liked it better than the first one. I think people are too uptight sometimes. But then I can sit back and laugh:rotfl: at myself and I guess not everyone can do that. I love to laugh and seek every opprutunity to do just that. Well worth the price of a ticket:p :p

OMGoodness! I loved this movie....it brought tears to my eyes. I welcome every opportunity to laugh like that. Can't take life so seriously or it wont be much fun :)

I loved the first movie . . . In fact I'm thinking about poping it in to the VCR. I'd have to see the meet the fockers to really put my 2 cents in. So far . . . from what I can tell . . . I don't think anyone in their right mind would really belive the nurse bashing. Just think of it as referring to a nurse that isn't so great, or needs a personality transplant. Just know in your heart that were good at what we do, and you can't think a movie is going to degrade us, and like biff said, the guy didn't want to be a doctor because he cared more.

I do want to go see it, I tend to chuckle at that kind of humor. . . Ofcourse I like bevis and butthead, southpark , and family guy too lol.

Don't let things like that offend you.

I thought it was hilarious! Much better than the first in that there was less of the tree-on-fire/spilled ashes/sewage slapstick stuff that I hate, but instead, more conversational comedy and interesting characters- I thought Dustin and Babs were great!

One thing, though- as if there wouldn't be a doctor in the ED to help out with a delivery!

I am in nursing school and my boyfriend who is a male and is a nurse does not like to go to the movies at all. However, he loved the first one so much that he shocked me when he told me that he wanted to take me to see this movie. When we watched the first one on DVD I asked him if it bothered him and he said no because this is what he deals with every day in this profession and he really liked the way Ben Stiller addressed why he wanted to become a nurse and the fact that he could have been a doctor but didn't want to because he wanted to care for his patients.

I was wondering if anyone saw "Meet the Fockers". Apparently it's funny to belittle nurses, especially the males. Why do people still wonder why no one wants to go into this field?

I saw the movie and I thought it was pretty darn funny! :rotfl: I don't tihnk it was belittling nursing at all. His FIL was just giving him a hard time. I think nursing will always have it's stereotypes. The only way to change it is for nurses themselves to change it.

Just my thoughts!
