hi guys, just wondering if anybody can give some tips or advice for mcc's hesi entrance exam. also do you guys know how many questions there are in the whole test and/or each section? and do you think a 95 on the hesi and a great GPA is a shoe in already? any other info would bre great, thank you much!!
Hey Gemberly,
I remember seeing you!!! Wow how awesome for you....a 96% That has you in...I was the blonde "old" lady in the yellow coat sitting at the end toward the proctor. I didn't do as well as you that is for sure. I only received an 88.37%...so not good enough again. I keep having problems on the reading comprehension, even though I read about 2 books a week and comprehend what they are saying....jeeeesh....I just don't know...I think it is time for me to start looking for another area.... I am going to cry in French Silk pie tonight.....lol

I actually scored 100% in that part. When I took the NET at Baker, that was my lowest portion! (I had an 85 composite.) When I read that first question, after reading the paragraph, I had to read it again and then again... and then finally I put my head in my hands and closed my eyes to think about it. THEN, what they were saying sunk in. That portion took me almost a full hour.
I don't think your score that is a bad score. I wonder what the HESI scores for the LPN program at Baker have been. I haven't been paying attention to that one. If you can't go the direct route look for a work around. That is always my plan. I have plans C-F waiting. LOL
French Silk Pie sounds so yummy...

I don't know how you managed to do that on the reading! I'm certain you made it into MCC and congratulations! You deserve it :)

Thanks! I just hope I made it into one of the two schools!
I just thought of something... I had my final this morning in another Baker class I took this term, but MCC doesn't have those scores. I should probably have the updated transcript sent over, right? They take whatever your gpa is before the deadline? (I haven't had a B since 2006, so I am good on that part.)
I haven't looked at the LPN yet, I think I am going too...Go the back route in like you said. Along with other areas...Surg Tech maybe... Wow for you...I scored only 91% in reading comp. but low on the vocab and grammar. HUH... That first one was the killer, and I like you, took an hour to complete that. I sat there starring at the passage about subjective essays and went what the ==== are you asking???? LOL
Mcc is taking the last 12 credit hours...I am like you, I haven't had a b since 2006. I am sure you are in! Congratulations!!!! You deserve it!
Hi Everyone,
I just want to say good luck to everyone trying to get an acceptance letter. Wow, Gemberly your hesi score is great. I am hoping to get into Baker in the spring. I have 25 points because I improved my NET score. Getting that denial letter in July was heartbreaking. I am sure you will get in a program. If you get accepted to both, which school will you choose, if you don't mind me asking? Congrats to you!

I would choose which ever would be done first. I think if I get into Baker, that I would feel like I had to take it. I wouldn't get my acceptance letter to MCC until April. A bird in the hand and all that. If I don't get in, then I will be more than happy to attend MCC. I am kind of expecting I won't get into Baker. I wish I would have known that I already had the grades to get into MCC last year, I would have taken the hesi then.
With 25 points you would be hard pressed NOT to get into Baker. There can't be 41 people with that score!
Good luck to everyone who is waiting for a letter!!
Hi all, I am just wondering about the transfer of the Baker gpa to Macomb. I just looked at my transcripts from Mcc and I have gone down way down in my gpa....Oh my gosh....now what??? Does anyone know about this and what this all means
I think that it may be to late to transfer to Macomb for the coming year but you can transfer for Fall 2010. I am with you in the same boat, I had one bad A&P class and my grades tanked. I hear the colleges like HFCC have a wait list so that might be my next step.
Congrats on every one's HESI scores that is AWESOME!!!!!!
