Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency (Az) February 2022

Published

Hey, everyone. I know it's pretty early, but I have had my eye on the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency program in Arizona for a while. I will be graduating in December and plan on applying to their February 2022 cohort. I have seen other threads from previous cohorts that keep up with the process, information, and support each other along the way.

If you are interested in applying to this program, this thread is for you!

About me: I am from out of state, which is why I am pretty anxious to hear more information on the program. I would love to do critical care. I have not seen the residency program posted on the job board yet, so hopefully, we can keep each other updated.

Good luck to all of you!

Same! Stuck on 33%. ?

The same goes for me. I checked my HTTP log on my browser and found a 500 Internal Server Error. I sent an email to make them aware of the issue.

Hey guys, I called HR and they are aware and working on it!

Seems like it got fixed, I was able to complete my application. Thank you for contacting them ?

Hello Everyone!

my name is Ema, and I just applied to the nurse residency program beginning this February 2022. I submitted my application this evening 9/28. I included my resume, and my transcripts! I was unsure if they would look at any other documents  since I’m sure there will be a lot of applications to choose from so I did not include a cover letter hopefully that doesn’t ruin my chances, my resume has a ton of work and clinical experience as well as leadership positions I have been in so fingers crossed for all of us!!

I currently live locally in Scottsdale Arizona, and I graduate with my BSN this December 7th! I am so ready to be graduated.

Good luck to everyone, we should definitely keep in touch through here to update eachother on how the application process is going ?

Specializes in MS/Palliative Care.

I just applied even though I'm pretty sure I don't stand a chance, but what do I have to lose. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of experience in healthcare and I haven't had much in-hospital clinical experience because most were done virtually. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed, good luck everyone.

@WoodCNA Never say never! Good luck!! ?

Heyo guys ?

I attended Mayo's virtual career fair today and got some information.

  • It'll take around 4-6 weeks for us to hear news about interviews. It'll be an asynchronous interview where we record our answers, so it won't be in real-time. I don't know about the following steps but that one would be one of the first ones.
  • The residency starting date will be on Feb 21 2022.
  • They'll be hiring 60 applicants, from what they said: ER:2, ICU:4, PCU:6, MS:6

I don't know if any of this info will change, but that is what I wrote in my notes ? They also mentioned how applying in Rochester is a good idea, and after getting the experience you can apply in Phoenix again. If not mistaken Rochester's residency starts every 2 weeks. Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone! I got an email saying that my application was forwarded to the hiring manager for review. Anyone else got this email?

I just received that email as well! One step closer ?

So now we just wait to be selected for an interview which would be in about 1 month?
