I'm not with pvcc but I was told it covers all 4 blocks.
Mrsbookworm has been helpful with encouraging purchase used. But it's all specific to each program.

Oh awesome!!! That's really good news. I always try my best to purchase used books as much as possible.. I was thinking they were making us buy a book that was made by the college, some courses I've taken in the past did that(COM225)... They're made exclusively made for gcc, etc. and you can't purchase those types of books used or anywhere online, unless you're lucky enough to find someone one craigslist.

Oh cool :) I hope I can get a book list from them soon so I can start hunting online if possible.

You may be able to see the required or recommended books of you look up the class on the school website. It's helped me.

I purchased all used or luckily had them passed down and for around $100, I have all the required plus a bunch of NCLEX books.

Thank goodness!! I was really wondering but kinda figured the books would cover all 4 blocks. Whew! Now I'm not so worried!

Hi Rachael -- I just got a spot at Gateway for January (traditional/morning) -- and I'm feeling a bit behind! Could you give me the quick run down? Is there a date for orientation? Is there any info out about the schedule yet? I'll be getting all my paperwork in the next few days -- but just dying for some info! THANKS!

I am in the evening program, so I don't think I could be of much use to you schedule and orientation date wise. :/ the book bundle is $985 for print+eBook, or an eBook only option for $835. We have to buy a supply bag that is $110, and filled to the brim with goodies! For my cohort, they told us we need to have a stethoscope and watch with a second hand the first week, so I'd get that if you don't already have it. Wish I could help more, but you'll get info soon! :)

I have a friend starting at gateway and she got an email early last week from them with a lot of info. She is in the evening class (not sure if that make any difference) I would try reaching out to them.

I have emailed both -------------- and --------------------- within the last 2 weeks. I guess I'll make a trip over there tomorrow.

I'm going to start their accelerated program.
