Maricopa Spring 2016 Block 1 students

So we all should have heard weeks ago about our placement now I wanted to start a place for the preparation for Block 1.

I know Fall semester still needs to start and end before we can even get to block 1, but hey I'm to excited.

How is everyone doing getting situated for the universitys?

When is everyone thinking about starting the stuff that needs to be done for Maricopa (I.e. medical papers, titer tests, CPR)?

Specializes in Telemetry, Med-Surg, Peds.

I got mine back in October. But didn't mention anything about supplies or textbooks. Also didn't really go into detail about uploading our health documents. The email said to wait for another email detailing what to do.... I'm going to follow up on Monday as it's been almost a month since I received my initial email.

Anyone get any more info from Gateway??

I would suggest you start on your health and safety documentation packet and check with an advisor at SCC to see when you can register for class. You should be getting an email from the school soon with more information.

You should have received it in your email. If you haven't, there is one online. But seems like you have most of it, just get your health declaration form signed! And then register.

MCC required a flu vaccine before registering since its flu season. But call if you are located elsewhere. :)

The only email I've gotten so far is the notice of placement and that they received my intent letter. Flu shot is mandatory since I work for one of the hospital systems here :) so thankful for free vaccines every year! So all that will be in another email? I'm just waiting on my background check right now (do they send an email when we've passed and how long does it take usually?)

Thanks guys for all the help! I've been feeling a bit discombobulated since I got placed. Usually I'm much more on top of things...

You get an email when it's complete but you have to log into the website to see your results.

You should get an email this week from your school about registration, orientation date, and all that kind of stuff. Other than that it sounds like you are pretty good since you have a healthcare background and are up to date with that stuff.

You will need to do the background profile and check your status and print the "passed" page.

You'll probably get an email soon now they have your letter of intent. It's not much, so you will be fine. Orientation will give you the most info. :)

Suec did u ever get ahold of anyone at the college regarding the second packet. I couldn't get ahold of anyone. Did you buy the books yet? I see they posted them under the schedule on the Student center.
