Anyone else out there a dedicated gym head that is also a nurse. get at me.
The gym? kidding lol. I run, mountain bike, and rock climb every week. Colorado rocks! I bought into fitness long before I was a nurse but it was fun to learn all the hows and whys of the benefits. I do pushups and pullups at home watching TV, and pushups at work on breaks. Keeps me sane and feeling good.
Just got accepted to nursing program here in az!
As of now.. I try and go to a gym 3-4 days a week and lift
Weights. I know I should try and do cardio because it sucks.
My metabolism is great but I have flat feet. So back pain occurs.
Should I attempt to push for a lot more cardio?
I hope I have time to lift weights once school starts.
I lost 60lbs last year, but just finishing my final semester of nursing school and just been too busy to get to the gym. I know, excuses, excuses...but once I finish I'm gonna get back to it.
I really want to find a sport or activity to get involved in so it's not just monotony in the gym. Problem is I don't have anyone to go with (need motivation here), plus everything's so damn expensive. I'd REALLY like to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but I can't afford the classes right now. Maybe once I get that first RN job...
What up! New grad BSN here. If it wasn't for the weights, I would have lost my mind in nursing school. The women in the program are crazy! It's like listening to my g/f 24/7. Though, I've packed on some weight over this last semester. I need to lose about 20lbs in 4 months. That's what happens when your last semester is all online.... Planning to head to grad school within the next 6 months. Would like to be in good shape before I go.

I'm getting ready to start nursing school and I lift weights at home 3-4 days a week. It really helps with the daily stresses of life. My metabolism isn't what it used to be so I've also recently decided to stop drinking soda completely and being more vigilant with what I eat as well. To 68drop, just wanna say congrats on losing all that weight. That's awesome.
