  1. Congrats to everyone! I got a position in the MICU, my start date is on friday the 11th! For those who have moved close to the hospital, could you tell me what area you moved to specifically and the pricing? I'm also on the quest for relocating. I'm in East LA and I HATE downtown traffic!
  2. Hey I never got a call for Neuro ICU. ER was my first choice and Neuro was my second. Not sure if anyone has gotten calls.
  3. Congrats to those who got the call! Still waiting here...did anyone who got the call apply for Santa Monica ER? What about Neuro ICU?
  4. It's on thursday. Interviewing for a position in the Cardiothoracic ICU. You know what's funny though? All the guys in my class who applied got interviews! Kinda crazy. They must have a thing for guys.
  5. I got a call today for an interview! I hope I get the job *wine
  6. The interview went great to me. I can see how many ppl were flustered from it. I know I killed it. But we'll just have to wait and see. My references aren't responding like they said they would.
  7. Got a phone call for a phone interview, but no email yet Patiently waiting...
  8. Like they said...you'll be stuck with these women for years. Don't do it.
  9. 24hr fitness junkie out here in Los Angeles. Finish my BSN in December. Bench press 305 (been out for a while), squat 315. Still tryna move on up!
  10. In December I will be have my BSN. I am 22 years old. I'm the youngest in my class, and there are 5 other guys in my class. I'm also the only Black guy in the nursing program here, period (and damn proud to set an example). It's always funny too because I'm 6'3" 235lbs with an athletic build, and EVERYONE always asks me if I play sports. lol I don't think I'd have the time to be on a team and do nursing!
  11. USC University Hospital and White Memorial both have the Versant program here in Los Angeles. They get pretty good reviews...hopefully I'll get into one of them.
  12. This is the email conversation I had with SkillSurvey Customer Service. All we can do is stay prepared and wait: At this time you have not been entered into our system. When you have been by UCLA you will automatically be sent e-mails by us regarding your Reference Checking process. Sincerely, SkillSurvey Customer Service From: Valentine Ewudo Sent: Mon, 01 Nov 2010 19:52:21 -0500 To: [email protected] Subject: Difficulty with SkillSurvey/TalentPlus Process Hi, I was sent an email on Fri, Oct 29, 2010 at 10:45 AM about completing the process regarding SkillSurvey/TalentPlus. I have been waiting for emails. However, I logged into the UCLA website as an applicant, and beside my application under "Status" it says "We have contacted you for an interview". Seeing this gives me great concern, for I am yet to receive an email about it. Anything you can advice will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, -- Oseloka Valentine Ewudo Fall 2010 Nursing Student California State University, Los Angeles Vice President Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Alpha Delta Chapter President - National Pan-Hellenic Council, CSULA
  13. I also applied to the program the morning it opened. Santa Monica ER, Neuro ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU I got an email about the Talent Plus and the Skill Survey, but I'm still waiting on them to send me more on it like they said they would.
