Hello. I'm thinking about becoming a nurse but there is one problem, I'm a man. Will other nurses get mad at me if I refuse to life all of their 400lb pts? Sorry I didn't sign on to be your assistant lady, should be enough right?
Also, I'm not really into the code brown thing. Can I put it into my contract that its against my religion to clean poop?
These are just some of my concerns.

Yes.
Why don't you say that and see what happens?
No.
I am a guy too, and I think you're being facetious, but just in case you aren't:
If a coworker, male or female, requests my assistance in turning or repositioning a heavy patient, I will gladly do so provided that they remain in the room and do it with me. Be a team player. As a man, you are likely physically stronger than your female coworkers. This is just a biological fact. Not always true, but usually. As such, it is reasonable to expect that you will be asked to help with many physically demanding tasks. As long as your female coworkers are not trying to push all their work on you, why wouldn't you help them?
No one is "into" code browns. It helps to remember that defecation is a part of our biology, and it is necessary. You should be more concerned if your patient ISN'T defecating.
Am i the only one who doesn't understand why this is called MALE nursing problems? What does your gender have to do with your unwillingness to perform duties that are a part of the job description?
Like the others, i have my suspicions that this is a terrible attempt at trolling, but if it's not, then I'm not sure nursing is going to be a great fit for the OP.

This meant as a wind up.
If you are a nurse, you would definitely do those. I was 7 months preggo and still turning and lifting patients, was not scared because i do not have to lift them by myself. Being a nurse in the ed, those poop issues are so common together with blood, vomitus, phlegm, all colors of body fluids.
I have worked with alot of male nurses on the ed and i would say they clean poop, change diapers and everything.
If you want a hand with your patients, be prepared to help othersHello. I'm thinking about becoming a nurse but there is one problem, I'm a man. Will other nurses get mad at me if I refuse to life all of their 400lb pts? Sorry I didn't sign on to be your assistant lady, should be enough right?

No, you will also have to deal with urine, blood, vomit, sputum and other assorted body fluids.
These are just some of my concerns.

I can hear the first part of your concern, I am a male and thinking about nursing. I come from a background where family members were at high levels of health care and the from the bottom.
Yes there may be some staff that will that may want you to do more lifting or whatever because of gender, it has happened won't say it hasn't.
Ideally and respectfully you should not be lifting 400lbs and would be getting assistance with that stuff and if not then ask! you work in a team!!!
Now the poop thing, don't get into nursing if you can't deal with poop and other bodily fluids and such, find a different career!! man I bet you made a lot of people angry here!!

As an aside, proper body mechanics almost always work.
