I just gradurated in june of this yr as an LPN, Would love to go on to RN school, but not sure because of my age. Does any one know anything about this bridge program LPN to RN and how long it takes and if you can do this on line in one yr. I have my first job as a LPN in a Nursing care facility full time, Just wondering if I should take the time and money and move forward when I have maybe 15 yrs to work.

Debating on what to do!!

You're never too old, and it's never too late. :)

When I was in pharmacy school, we had classes with medical and physician's assistant students, and one of the PA-C students was 53 years old. Long story, but proof positive that it's never too late.

And last year, the hospital where I work had a senior medical resident who was that age as well.

In other words, the answer is NO!

I just finished an LPN to RN program, at least a third of my classmates were over 50 or close to it. The pre reqs may take a while. The program I did was 8 months long.

There was one student in my nursing class that was 60!!! I say its NEVER too accomplish your goals!

Debating on what to do!!

I heard of a man going back to school at 72, a woman graduated RN at age of 62.

DO what you want to do for you! Never let anyone or a feeling of what other people think about you or your decision. This is your life and you do what you have always thought about doing. Live for today. There are so many people who can never do what their heart desires!!

LIVE FOR TODAY and good luck

Go for it!!! Your never too old and it's never too late to go back to school! I had several classmates in LPN school who were in their 40's, 50's, and a few that were in their 60's. They all passed with flying colors!

Do what makes you happy!

Do your thing! Age is just a number. And, with the maturity gained in life, I am sure you would put just as much dedication into the RN program as you did into the LPN. Good luck!

You are not too old...go for it!

GO GO GO!!! I am 45 and waiting to pass my NCLEX next month and hope to be an RN at 50. Even if it takes me past!!!! But I do understand the concern, sometimes age can be seen as a limitation by others.

Not too old at all! Go for it! Good luck.
