am doing my little research on this and am going to get insurance...i think you can't be too careful out there anymore and thinking "it's not going to happen to me" is simply oudated and dangerous...sad, but true.
i really need some input on this, as i've never had this kind of insurance before...don't want to go cheap, just want the best coverage...
thanks....

I'm not sure about coverage but all of my instructors suggested we get insurance once we pass the NCLEX. They said you can't be too careful.

Had it for years. Wouldn't consider working w/o it.

I have had Liability Insurance since I started LPN school. Because yes, even students can be sued!
I am now licensed and still have the same liability insurance. I have it through NSO

My instructors drilled it into our class to get our own insurance once we finished school. I myself have NSO. It was recommended to me from a friend and she's had it for years.

Have it - don't tell anyone! Deep pockets get sued quicker.
I don't think that's true at all.

I have it through NSO but let me tell you to not apply through the website. For some reason, they are quoting a higher price with less coverage. If you can get an NSO flier out of a nursing journal use that instead :)
so NSO is the way to go...
thank you all for your replies...i just couldn't make up my mind which way to go...gosh, just praying now i won't be needing it.

Hey labcat,
Thanks for the tip! Your heads up is greatly appreciated! (I'll pay better attention to the journal ads from now on!)
