Just got a letter from school. Due to my surprisingly good GPA, I am invited to join National Honor Society,Phi Theta Kappa!.I am really tickled about this. I didn't even graduate from High School back in the day, I got my GED and sort of came to nursing school through the back door.NO ONE who knew me then would expect this from me. Just had to brag,thanks for listening.

I too am a PTK member... also not active, but I am using it to secure a half-price tuition waiver that my school of choice offers to PTK'ers. There might be similar benefits for you... it's a great opportunity.

I know how you feel, too. I skated by in high school and thought I was the dumbest person... that's what held me back from trying nursing for so long. Now I'm finishing my prereq's this semester with a 3.9 GPA.

wow that's great. I have a friend that is also a member I believe. What GPA do you have to get? He said a minimum of a 3.0? Just curious. That is awesome! I am excited when I pass lol.

Cool - I am in that one, too. Might as well join, asiancutie - not much to lose, you know. I don't remember much about it, I think the counselor at my school set it all up for me, for all of us who joined it.
