Nursing seems like a revolving door at times. Just out of curiosity, how long have you been with your current employer?
I'll chime in first....2 years 1 month

I've been employed at my current place of employment since June 2010. I am seriously entertaining the idea of resigning, but will hang in there as long as most of the shifts are halfway tolerable.
I worked as an LVN for approximately four years (2006-2010). My longest-lasting LVN position was exactly two years, from February 2006 to February 2008. I engaged in a fair amount of job-hopping when I was an LVN.

10 months. I like it there (for the most part) so will probably stay awhile.

18 years. Same hospital. Same department. Since passing NCLEX.
Today's grads are more ME focused. They expect good hours and good position. No one graduates anymore expecting and accepting entry positions. They tend to bounce around looking for that nursing utopia. A lot of it is one's attitude. Not all of it of course. But a lot.

I began work as an LPN 6 years ago. The first couple years were spent gaining skill in LTC with a private company. The next two were spent in hospice learning how to deal with death. Now I've settled in with a larger LTC with a corporate structure. It seems now that I've found my sweet spot everyone else is still coming and going ...the turnover is dizzying at times lol.
Nice to hear of a lengthy work history. Thx.

18 years - in a variety of positions. I've been supported and encouraged to advance my career - so I haven't felt the need to look for greener pastures.
