Length of employment

Nursing seems like a revolving door at times. Just out of curiosity, how long have you been with your current employer?

Currently working as a LVN for 7 month, however I worked at the same place as a CNA for 4.5 years.

Specializes in peds, allergy-asthma, ob/gyn office.

First job, inpatient Pedi/Pulmonary/Adolescent/CF floor... 22 months. The end-stage CF was just too hard for me, at 22 years old myself. Next job, allergy clinic.. nice, fairly low-stress job.. 6 years, until my first child was born. Many years as SAHM. Now, current job, 18 months, and looking to get out NOW because it's an awful OB/gyn clinic situation. If it were not so bad, I could see doing it awhile. I like OB/gyn.

Specializes in Psych, LTC/SNF, Rehab, Corrections.

With my last FT employer, from the time that I was an aide in 2010 to 2014. Then, I relocated.

I've been at one of my jobs for 1 month. The second job, I just quit. I was there about as long, though.

Specializes in Ambulatory, Corrections, SNF, LTC, Rehab.

2 years in home health

6 months for SNF

1 year for correctional (county job)

currently, 1 year and 2 months for hospital :)

I'm a newly licensed LPN. I just started my job at a LTC facility a week ago. I like it, so I foresee myself being there for awhile.

2.5 years with current home health care agency. Was with prior agency 2.5 years as an RPN, 5 years as a PSW.

Specializes in Ambulatory Care-Family Medicine.

3.5 years with my current employer. Before this I spent 6 months in LTC after graduating.
