Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Thanks for your response. I was just wondering because I ordered mine on July 15th and the estimated ship date was yesterday but they still haven't sent it out.

Did U get an email? They will send our two emails, one with confirmation and right after is the one tracking information

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) the one who said that our documents were due on the 9th? Wasn't she the one who sent out our emails? No one else in that department knows what's going on.

That's what I iterated before. No one knows what exactly to do because she does it on her own. She didn't even tell anyone in the office that she emailed students with more documents, and to expect it. Or she didn't tell them if there was any questions give instructions to student. That is why (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) stated to just be patient and when she gets back she has to do her job. Regardless of the fact our first day of clinical will be at Lehman. So hopefully everything should remain on track.

@ omgsocks- we was told to is that our first day of clinical will be at Lehman. They have to make sure everyone is set with documents, uniform, etc. to be ready for hospital setting as well as pointers. But throughout the semester we will have certain clinical days that we would have to report to Lehman instead of the hospital. According to the information that was given to me.

DG82 is right so I won't reiterate the points they've made but I purchased these shoes. They were the best looking pair I could find that fit uniform regulations and they seem comfortable so far. Most people agree (and even I agree) that they run large so order .5 a size down. I ordered my regular size and had to exchange them for a 6.5.

I stood with my size 6. They recommended not going half size smaller because feet swell up when on your feet all day and if you decide to wear thinker socks it will end up being tight.

Does anyone have the course codes for the clinicals. I have the Bronx VA but didn't write down the course code :(

I think you should go ahead and register for all of your classes. I am also at Bronx VA, and my clinical is on Friday.

None of us thought about the fact that on (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) end, documents being due two or so weeks before our first day of clinical means first day we will be in a hospital. Not our first day of clinicals where we'll be at lehman.

What I am saying is that she is not stressed about our documents because technically, if they are turned in after she gets back, they will still be turned in within enough time of our first day reporting to an actual hospital.

She had us stress out on our end yet knew that on her end she had plenty of time. It was pretty selfish.

Had I known I actually had so much time, I would have gone on a vacation. But I guess staff first, students - last.

I only received a confirmation email.

I'll be wearing thin compression socks. My feet were flopping out of a 7. The 6.5 fits my larger foot perfectly (with some space) with my socks on and is still a teeny bit loose on my smaller foot. But it's up to BKQ1320. Maybe they can try their size and if they think it's too huge, they can always exchange it for a smaller size or wear some super thick socks.

Oh ok...Did (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) mention that there was extra paperwork needed for the Bronx VA?

There were 7 docs, but only 5 needed to filled out. The most important component was to take a 4-hour training course: pretty much getting to know the policies and regulations of the VA, patient population, safety protocol and such. Upon completion of the course, you would get a certificate, which you bring, along with other docs, to Fatima.

Hey guys I still haven't received an email with my registration codes or anything, I haven't gotten an email since orientation honestly. I've been able to register for Nur 300 but that's it. When I tired to register for my clinical for my group it says that the lecture is closed but the clinical isn't so I'm so confused. I also can't register for Nur 344

Have you checked your spam? My email didn't come from Fatima's email address. It came from a nursing department one.

Did you hand in all of your health forms? I'd say speak to someone in the nursing department and tell them what's going on; you should've received an email by now
