Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

You are correct, but we are to wear the full uniform the first day of class only. They want to make sure everyone is on point and have everything before the actual day of clinical.

Not the first day of class, but the first day of clinical.

I just received an email with my class codes, though I already manually registered a few days ago. It was sent to my personal email. If anyone is still waiting to register, check your personal email. Hopefully you received an email or will receive one soon.

I also recived an email today wih codes even thou I already registered. It also contained my clinical information packet and documents that need to be signed by a medical proffesional and given to th depertment by august 9th.

Is there anyone who has not yet handed in any all of their forms? My doctor just finished my health forms after having them for over 3 weeks. Is the chest x ray mandatory? I tested negative for PPD and they mentioned nothing about me getting a chest x ray.

My doctor's office hasn't had the tetorifice shot for two weeks and I need it.

I've been calling every day asking if it is in yet and they keep telling me no. If they do not have it tomorrow I will have to go to City MD instead.

Not according to the office from the department. Since the first day will be lecture before clinical. I will confirm and get back to everyone if you would like. Or you can find out again on your own.

Can they send the order for the shot to another facility? My doctor sent the order for one of mine to my local walgreens and I got it there.

If you have a chance to speak to someone in the department, it'd be great if you confirmed. The lady told me that we need to wear to clinicals and when we have clinicals on campus. I will have my first clinical on Friday, and since we actually do not go to the clinical site, we will report to campus, but wearing uniforms. However, my first day of classes is Tue, so it does not make sense to wear uniforms to the lecture.

I had a problem registering for pharm this afternoon. However, I just got the codes, and was successful in registering for pharm. I guess try again.

My doctor told me on the day of my appointment that it would be in a few days later.

I have been calling the front desk every day and they keep telling me it is not in yet.

The woman on the phone will not speak with my doctor because she says this is a nursing issue not doctor issue and I asked the woman who answers the phone if I could get a referral to go somewhere else and she said no, but I doubt she actually knows wtf she is talking about.

The orientation packet on page 4 it states you must wear your uniform on the first day of class. Also for the last two years Ive been at lehman, nursing students always wear therie uniform on the first day of class. The real question is that if you dont start classes monday but on tuesday do you wear your uniform on tuesday.
