Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Seems like a lot of people already have their classes. I'm wondering why they haven't started sending emails out yet--or maybe they have but no one in this thread has received an email.

At the Lehman bookstore or another website?

No, through amazon. I thought I typed it in the message. I apologize

The classes that get approved would go by what Fatima gives permisson for. So if you add every single class in 300, one will be approved, and so on. And you will notice that they are all in sync with nothing overlapping.

Yes, I was able to register for all but NUR330: Pharmacology. It says I did not meet the pre-requisite requirements, NUR303. I checked the course and none has yet registered. I think Fatima is still working through.

CN101,

If you do what was suggested, though it may take some time you should have your classes as well. If you don't understand you can hit me up on email with your number and verbally explain. Because it can be confusing. Up to you.

As of yesterday she was trying to finish everything. As per what I over heard in the conversation

She has been trying for three weeks now. No worries, we still have a few more weeks.

I entered the code that was given to us for clinicals and my clinical date is different on cunyfirst...did this happen to anyone else?

Sure, what is your email address?

Could you also send them to me to please [email protected]

Those of you who are still confused/not sure how/when to wear uniforms; I spoke to one of the clinical instructors on campus today and she said that the only time we need to wear uniforms is when we report to clinicals (either on campus or a clinical site). All other times, we do not need to wear uniforms. For example, if you have NUR301 lecture, you can attend the lecture wearing whatever clothing you like. Also, when you report to clinical, you will bring the uniform with you and change on site. As far as when clinicals/labs on campus, you can either arrive already wearing the uniforms or you can change into the uniforms on campus.

Is there anyone who has not yet handed in any all of their forms? My doctor just finished my health forms after having them for over 3 weeks. Is the chest x ray mandatory? I tested negative for PPD and they mentioned nothing about me getting a chest x ray.

You don't need an X-ray if you tested negative.

You are correct, but we are to wear the full uniform the first day of class only. They want to make sure everyone is on point and have everything before the actual day of clinical.

I am not sure about any chest xray, I did not do that. But as long as you have printed the labs along with your doctors signature on the forms you should be good.
