Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

The orientation packet on page 4 it states you must wear your uniform on the first day of class. Also for the last two years Ive been at lehman, nursing students always wear therie uniform on the first day of class. The real question is that if you dont start classes monday but on tuesday do you wear your uniform on tuesday.

That's what I've been hearing too. The nursing students wore their uniform on the first day of classes last year. Also, that's what I want to know. I'm assuming that we don't have to wear uniform because it technically won't be the first day of classes. But if anyone hears anything different, please let us know.

It is such a confusing issue, honestly. Anyways, I will have to turn in the clinical placement docs by next Thursday, so I will be on campus again, so I might as well ask to clarify.

If you have a chance to speak to someone in the department, it'd be great if you confirmed. The lady told me that we need to wear to clinicals and when we have clinicals on campus. I will have my first clinical on Friday, and since we actually do not go to the clinical site, we will report to campus, but wearing uniforms. However, my first day of classes is Tue, so it does not make sense to wear uniforms to the lecture.

I'm going in on Monday to drop off my cpr copy of certification so, I'll ask and post right away to confirm.

I had a problem registering for pharm this afternoon. However, I just got the codes, and was successful in registering for pharm. I guess try again.

I've tried multiple times. Even today it still gives an error that it needs permission.

Well, since you are going to school on Monday you might as well ask about the registration issues. And thank you for asking yet again about the uniforms.

Does anyone know what hours the nursing department is open on weekdays?

I need to know what time they open and close so I can drop off my documents around my work schedule!

Someone it there at 9 am Monday thru Thursday. Advisors are there I think by 12. They all leave I think by 5 or 6. Depending on the day. I don't have the office schedule, but the morning time is definitely the time someone will be there.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the Background Check results back? I placed the order August 2nd, I got my drug results the next day early. But still haven't gotten anything from the background check.

About two business days for me. I ordered mine on the 10th of July and received my results on July 12th.

Thank you, I guess Monday will be the second business day. I just need to bring this last thing in. The email from the department with hosiptal forms to fill out, Do you know what the hell is the appendix A and B part?

No problem! Yes, your results should be in tomorrow hopefully. To be honest, I didn't receive any forms in my email. I'm kind of worried about that. I'm sure it depends on what hospital we're going to but everyone I know received some sort of form to fill out. I'm going to ask the office tomorrow. Hopefully someone else on here can answer your question.

Which hospital were you placed in? My email said nothing about Appendix A and B? But maybe I can ask to help you out....
