I am looking forward to graduating! I am mentally done w/school, so it cannot come fast enough. I am doing a preceptorship the second 7 weeks, and I asked for L&D too. L&D is truly where my heart is, and it's where I hope to be hired. My other choices for my 1st job are high risk antepartum and postpartum.
Good luck with your final semester! :)

I'm with ya! (Except we have LDRP's so everything is done in the same room - no separate units; and small hospitals so everything r/t OB-GYN is in the same hallway/area. If someone is very very high risk they don't deliver here).
Our class for the first half of the semester before preceptorship -from what I gather- is more med-surg with hospice added in there somewhere. I also have a senior capstone type of class (online).
April 29th is the big day for me & I can't wait!!!!
I am most excited for all the fun graduation stuff...senior banquet, pinning, and graduation. Although, I am excited about finally getting to do my critical care rotation. It's one of the areas I'm most interested in, but somehow I wound up having to take it last.
I'm anxiously waiting to hear back about a job/scholarship that I interviewed for before Christmas. The suspense is killing me:uhoh3: !
Hopefully I'll be going into OR, PACU or Critical Care.I did my preceptorship in PACU and absolutely loved it.
Have a good last semester everybody!
Only 120 days left till pinning!!!!!!!!!!!! We have to do 220 hours for our preceptorship. Maybe because I am in a BSN program? Or is my school just weird? My brain has already graduated, so hopefully I'll make it through this semester. :) I think I am doing my preceptorship on a cardiac/tele floor. It's not set up yet and I have no clue what my schedule will be like. This is driving me crazy!!!
Time went by so fast! I can't believe it's almost time to graduate. I got a preceptorship in pediatrics. The thought of having to bathe another adult was too much for me. I was getting burned out. I love kids. I'm looking forward to graduating and having a huge party.
Oh and quiting my regular job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you looking forward to most this semester? Know what area you want to go into yet? Do you have a preceptorship this semester?
This week I begin my last semester of nursing school (ADN), well, until I start the BSN program this fall. I can't wait to get it over with, I'm so burnt out on this stuff. I am most looking forward to preceptorship, it's going to be 120 hours of working with our preceptor's schedule and I got my area of first choice: L&D. I should know pretty definitively by the end of that whether L&D is really what I want to do.
