Last Semester Finally Here! Who's with me? ++

What are you looking forward to most this semester? Know what area you want to go into yet? Do you have a preceptorship this semester?

This week I begin my last semester of nursing school (ADN), well, until I start the BSN program this fall. I can't wait to get it over with, I'm so burnt out on this stuff. I am most looking forward to preceptorship, it's going to be 120 hours of working with our preceptor's schedule and I got my area of first choice: L&D. I should know pretty definitively by the end of that whether L&D is really what I want to do.

i'm in my last semester too.... 14 more weeks....i graduate may 11....i'm a little nervous but i made it this far...i'm heading for that finish line with all the evergy i have left in me! Can't wait to finally celebrate! good luck to everyone!

Graduation for me is May 21! I can't believe how close I am! I justed submitted my application for interim permit and license (boards). They told us to do it asap because so many school are graduating around the same time we are and the BRN will be stuffed with apps. She said the sooner we get it in, the sooner we will be able to sit for boards when we graduate! This is our Critical and leadership semester. For clinicals they are trying to get us all to watch an open heart surgery. Word is they will even let us touch the heart! How cool is that?! My precepting is in the middle so during spring break I will be trying to get in some of my 96 hours I have to do. I wish we could specialize in peds or something but we are not allowed, med-surg only.Yuck. As for jobs I am already working in the local ER as an extern, hoping to stay after graduation. Congratz on those who have made it this far!
