What are you looking forward to most this semester? Know what area you want to go into yet? Do you have a preceptorship this semester?

This week I begin my last semester of nursing school (ADN), well, until I start the BSN program this fall. I can't wait to get it over with, I'm so burnt out on this stuff. I am most looking forward to preceptorship, it's going to be 120 hours of working with our preceptor's schedule and I got my area of first choice: L&D. I should know pretty definitively by the end of that whether L&D is really what I want to do.

Specializes in Med-Surg.

I'm on the home stretch too, but for some reason still feeling like I've got to walk barefoot over broken glass for 20 miles to get to that finish line...

160 hours of precepting for us. I'll be doing general med-surg.

Specializes in LTC/Behavioral/ Hospice.

I graduate in June. We have Lifespan III (Med/Surg part 2) and Professional Issues left and we are done! I am already thinking about jobs. :)

Specializes in Women's Health.

My last semester too! It ends on May 4th, at 6pm. For some reason this semester is the one I'm the most worried about! I think, like someone said earlier...my brain has already graduated. I don't know where I'll precept yet...I guess I'll find out when I start next week, hopefully I'll get a place I requested. I requested L&D too, I externed there over the summer. Good luck to everyone...and Happy Studying!

Specializes in Ortho/Neuro.

It is my last semester too, well for my ASN, then in August another year for my BSN (only once per week). I am excited and nervous too, not about graduating, or NCLEX, but what comes next...being responsible for patients! Well, good luck to us all and YAH!

Only 3 months, 4 weeks and 1 day until graduation for me! Can't wait! I'm excited and sad and terrified, all at the same time! :)

I hope to get a position somewhere in critical care - did my externship in MICU And fell in love with it! :)

Specializes in ICU-CVICU.

How exciting for everyone!

This is also my last semester and the schedule is sooooo awesome! We have Process IV (Critical Care) and Leadership/Management. We have finals the week of March 9 and then we're released for preceptorship (144 hours)...That means I have just 8 weeks of school left!

Is it possible I will finish my entire college career...153 semester hours with a 4.0? Just 8 more weeks until I find out. I hear it's only been done one other time at my school in the last 5 years!

Big party at my house on March 11....you're all invited.

May

Specializes in post-op.

My last semester too! January 23rd is the 1st day of classes and I will be counting down 15 weeks! I have an interview tomorrow for a med-surg position, wish me luck! I am sooo nervous, haven't had to go on an interview for a long time :)

Counting down the weeks! :) I graduate at the end of this semester and I'm starting as a postpartum nurse a couple days after graduation. I cannot WAIT.

This last semester is a bit intimidating but I got the outline and its well organized (first time thats happened in the program lol) and it seems doable. With a test about every 2 weeks, I think I'm gonna make it! :)

I'm with you!!!! WHOO HOO!!!!!

Here's my plan...I'm preceping L & D (yay!), gotta get through Community Health and a Leadership class -gotta pass my HESI with at least an 850. Then I'm home free!! I'm praying that I will knock their socks off in preceptorship and get a job in L & D!!! It's exactly where I want to be!! After that, I'll take the NCLEX as soon as I can and pass the first time! (positivity helps, right?!?!)

Good luck to everyone! Let's hang in there!

Amy:)

14 weeks left!! Peds & OB left for RNAD Program. Excited, but scared.. Any recommendations for Boards?

Last semester here too! I'm in final semester of BSN program, and I couldn't be more excited about it. It's been a long and hard journey and the light is finally in sight at the end of this tunnel. I'm excited about finally getting out in the real world, and exploring various fileds of nursing. good luck everyone, and congrats on getting this far! Nurses Rule.....

My last semester here, I have a dosage calculations test which I have to get 90% or above to continue..Lecture is going by fast and I am kind of stressed now...Kind of scary, going into the last part of the semester with all this pressure
