June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

I did better on question trainer 6 (69%) than 7 (59%) so I think that 7 is harder. Maybe it was because of the length and I just got distracted and couldn't sit still? I also kept checking this website, checking my e-mail and facebook and myspace pages, so that probably didn't help to keep me focused! HAHA 265 questions is brutal and I pray that neither of us have to sit through that many questions, especially you since you had that many your first time! I too am just expecting to get 265 and am planning to be at the testing center for 6 hours! I am just going to hope for the best! Let me know how you do on question trainer 7! Good luck and I hope you get a good score! :heartbeat

I wonder if I should do these trainers in order. I did 7, then 6. I am doing #1 now, and I probably should have done that one first. I am in the lw 60's.

Good luck to you. Sounds like you are very prepared. :specs:

Congrats!!!!!!

I've only posted a few times, but I wanted to let you guys know I'm testing tomorrow afternoon. I'm nervous, but not nearly as much as I thought I would be. Pray for me, please.

:plsebeg:

Congratulations to all of you who have already passed :yeah:, and I continue to wish good luck to those who are testing soon! :heartbeat

Best of luck to all of y'all testing tomorrow!

When you set down, just tell yourself it's just another practice test at home. Try your best, and tell yourself why an answer is wrong or right.

Look at the question again before clicking next to make sure you have answered what the question wanted.....(For example, if the question asks for a true answer, make sure you picked one that was true for the given scenario.)

You can do this! We all have made it through nursing school, and each of us have the ability to pass. Do not let your nerves tell you otherwise!

I FAILED

Oh well, everything happens for a reason... I need to dust myself off and hit the books AGAIN!! Maybe I will try Suzanne's plan.

Does anyone know what I have to do now.... Should I re-register with Pearson?

Feeling sad...

I couldn't wait the 3 or 4 hours for the BNE to post, I had to pay for quick results! LOL

I am so sorry! I used Saunder's, and started out with Suzanne's step one that she has posted.

I definitely recommend contacting Suzanne and asking her for her plan, sending her requirements.

She requires 45 days, so take a day or two to gather your senses, then get back on the bandwagon. You can congratulate yourself for making it this far! I know that seems like nothing with the pain you must feel, but it is a major accomplishment. You will get past the NCLEX too!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!! I'm so happy for you!!! :icon_hug: I knew you'd pass the first time you took it. :)

Love214: :icon_hug: Good luck the next time, honey. Take some time off and try to relax your brain and heart. Then, get right back on the wagon again. :icon_hug: Congratulations on making it this far, honey.

hey loboscon,

I got a 65% on the Kaplan readiness test. I don't know what that equates to but thats ok. And as for the Question trainer 7 well I got a 61. So really I think we will both be fine. I am just exhausted and today I woke up and went to the pearson vue site and sat there staring at it for like forever thinking I can just change the date. I didn't do it though so tomorrow is d-day. Let me know if you take the sample tests.

Hi love214...if you found out officially, they may send you an application to reapply.

Complete it right away, because they are a little slow about this process. then when they send you the eligibility to test, register with Pearson so they can email you your ATT. That process from Pearson is fairly quick. But the important thing right now is that you take that short break, re group, then when you are ready to review again, schedule that date. When I was ready to review again, I scheduled that date about 8 weeks ahead. It says so in kaplan and other books when to retest. It is really improtant though that you schedulke that date. For me, time flew and I was sooo discouraged to reapply, but it was helpful for me because it helped me plan out my life for the next several weeks.

Good luck, and at all if you need advice, we are all here for you....

I RETEST ON JUNE 30TH, THE DAYS AHS FINALLY COME. :specs:

Hey everyone. I found out yesterday through quick results that I passed! I took the test on Tuesday, had lots of SATAs, priority questions and an EKG reading. I answered about 95 questions.

I took Kaplan's review classroom course, watched most of the online videos, studied for 2 and 1/2 weeks, got an average of 64% on my Q bank and a 67 on Question trainer 7.

I was flipping out on wednesday waiting for my results. I couldnt sleep --it was more nerve wracking than taking the test.

Congrats on all who are passing, good luck to those of you taking the test. Remember, you can do this.
