June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

hi everyone i test tommarrow and im freakin out I was wondering the people who passed nclex and used KAPLAN what were you QT average scores ?

LyndseyER,

Several of my friends used Kaplan and got mid to high 60's. You will be fine if you can relax that will help you so much. Good Luck we will be pulling for you!!!

:eek:Hi I am new to the site and was reading a lot of comments pertaining to the nclex. I took mine this morning at 8am. I am losing my mind. I almost had a panic attack at the train station on my way home. The computer shut off at about 110. I believe the last question was a dosage calc (i seriously can't remember anything now). I am afraid I might have failed. I am trying to stay positive but it is very nerve racking. I got so many prioitization questions, only 2 calculations and about 6-10 sata.

From what I have been reading, your feelings are normal after the NCLEX! Good luck on getting the PASSED results!

Totally normal feelings, I know easier said than done but try to relax and forget about it until you get your results. I couldn't remember any of my questions when I came out of the room

Good luck and welcome

It took me a while to remember too. I felt like I was in a daze or something. I am totally honest when I say, I truly felt with every fiber in my body that I failed and hey, I got good news today and you will too. If you can, stay busy through tomorrow. I was so sick for those 2 days waiting for results. From what you are saying that was on your test you have passed because prioritization, calcs and SATAs are all higher level questions and if you miss a question you drop down to a medium or lower level question so keep writing your name with your new title behind it until you get your good news. You passed, I bet.

:tinkbll:

So I test on Saturday. I'm completely freaking out. I used Kaplan. Is there anyone out there who passed who can tell me what they averaged on the QTs and question bank tests? :banghead:

Two weeks and counting...Ive taken about 4 weeks off from full time work and have been filling in shifts working once or twice a week at the most. Ive been studying at the library everyday for 4-6 hrs reviewing from Saunders, Lippincott and Kaplan. Ive been doing 3 exams of 75 scoring in the 70s and an ATI exam with scores also the 70s, so hopefully that will cut it since 65% is passing. So please cross your fingers for us June Test Takers.

Congrats to those of you who found out you passed. Meditate and keep busy for those of you awaiting results. I had my full body deep tissue massage and I am drifting off to bed thinking "what test?" I'm testing tomorrow and using a list of things I wrote down that I have to do from the time I wake up to the time I test. I don't want to be preoccuppied and brainfart on my way to the testing center.

Oh, could those of you who passed let the rest of us know what prep course you used, your average scores on practice tests, how long you studied for, that kind of thing. I know that so many people get swept up in the joy of passing that they forget to come back and support the rest of us still waiting to test or take results. If only I had a crystal ball........

Good luck to all you taking the test this week. I wish you all the best.

I am so grateful to be among people who truely understand what I'm going through.
