This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Ugh, jumping in here as I anxiously await my results. I did the virtual ATI program and finished it up about two weeks ago with the predictor saying that I had a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX. I planned to do more question banks while I waited to test, but I figured it would be a while (hadn't gotten my ATT yet and usually the scheduling seems to work out so that you end up waiting about a month for an opening at the test center). So I decided to take a bit of a break from studying.
Then Thursday night I got my ATT e-mail. When I went online to schedule the NCLEX there was an opening on Saturday (the 14th!). The next opening at any of the Pearson sites near me wasn't for another month or so, and I decided I didn't want this hanging over my head anymore, so I signed up for the Saturday. I walked out having no idea how it went. It shut off at 75. Everyone is telling me they're sure I did fine, but I am so nervous that maybe I just bombed it. Ugh... I don't want to spend the $8 to find out (esp. if it's bad news!). I just keep checking the state website neurotically. They say to allow 7 days for licenses to show up online. I don't think I can make it any longer!

That is exactly when I took mine and I kept trying the BON website to and although it is $8 to find out through personvue it is so worth it to know because mine still isn't up on the BON and neither is my friends who took hers last Monday. I don't know how you can stand the wait. Good Luck to you, I'm sure you did fine. So early Congrats to you.
OOPS I forgot to come back and post that I passed!!!! I was so relieved that I just went off and got away from my computer :) I took it and stopped at 75 questions...heard in 72 hours. PHEW! I had a good feeling about it but it still was so hard to wait to hear the official results!!! Congrats to all who have made it in the last week!!!
Hey everyone. I am testing tomorrow at 12:15. This is what I did today. I woke up around the time I expected to wake up tomorrow for the test. Because it is important for me to have visual images and be certain that I would get to the testing center on time I left my house using public transit to allow myself at least a half an hour to get to the testing center. I looked around the building, met the concerieg who told me that I should come even earlier so that I could relax and meditate before testing begins. I took the the elevator up to the center and walked into the center. I looked around, asked the desk person a few questions and walked out. I am using this experience for a walk through test just like athletes imagine themselves playing a basketball game or running a marathon the night before.
I exercised, stretched and relaxed on the beach. I have a deep tissue massage scheduled in a few hours and I'll be doing some intense yoga afterwards. I plan on going to bed early enough so that if I wake up during the night I can still get my enough sleep.
Part of me feels like I should be studying to the last minute, but then again, if anxiety kicks in during the test, you aren't going to remember anything. It is probably better going in well rested, relaxed and confident because even if you don't know the content, you will be in a mind frame to utilize your test taking strategies and critical thinking skills. At this point there is very little that I am actually going to learn and retain. One has to focus on the actual process of taking the test in order to succeed.
I wish all of you taking the test soon the best. You will succeed. Soon We'll all be complaining about being overworked and overtired and dealing with drama on our units.
hi everyone i test tommarrow and im freakin out I was wondering the people who passed nclex and used KAPLAN what were you QT average scores ?
LyndseyER,
Several of my friends used Kaplan and got mid to high 60's. You will be fine if you can relax that will help you so much. Good Luck we will be pulling for you!!!

:yeah:Congrats to everyone passing
I am scheduled to test on the 28th and am tired of studying. I keep looking for cancellations so that I can get in earlier and get this over with. Of course, I found one for Wednesday but I work that day and can't switch days because my 2nd preceptor is on vacation. Oh well, I guess I will keep looking. Everyone about to test, keep the faith and remember we can do this!!!
