June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

[color=#2f4f4f]if you go to your state board of nursing website, many states will post your rn license there before pearson does - just depends on your state and when you took the test. i had taken my exam saturday morning so my 48 hours were up monday morning. i checked my state bon site and it still came up with no license number so i paid my 8 bucks at pearson... my rn license was available maybe 15-20 minutes later on my state bon site. still worth the 8 bucks for me! :D

i took mine yesterday (mon the 9th) in mn and by 8am this morning (tues) there was a "passed" next to exam results on the board site. however, this evening i still do not have a license number missing. does it take longer to get assigned a license number???

How do you guys get to look at your results to fast!? I looked through BON and Pearsons Vue and it's still pending. I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow

YA- I think out here in CA we have to play the waiting game too :)

I think some states just post the passed results really fast! I'm sure glad I live in one of those states. And in MN they post on the BON if you passed before they even issue you a license so it's really fast! Good luck to all of you still waiting- I can't imagine it- 24 hours was long enough for me. And good luck to those of you about to take it- you already know all the answers, it's just the questions you have yet to find out!

that is awesome! you give hope to those who need it. congrats. even though I got good grades, grades don't mean anything...as nclex seems to prove. 1 week for my test....I am trying to remain calm and not freak out. thanks for your post and honesty about ATI scores and grades. I am sure it helps a lot of people knowing that we all know more than we think we do...all we have to do is THINK and not doubt ourselves!

Thanks to you too, and goodluck. There is this book that I would recommend to every body who hasn't taken their boards yet. A Kaplan book called "NCLEX-RN: Strategies for the registered nursing licensing exam" I read that book twice and I assure you guys it does improve your test taking abilities. The whole book is about how to answer different NCLEX questions and it will dramatically improve how you answer your test..

I'm sure u will do well, as they say 85% of first time test takers do pass their exam, and most of us are in that elite 85% group.

Hello again!

I take my test Friday, and I'm soo scared. I read my Kaplan book and feel, "I was never taught this." I take all of the quizes and tests and feel so lost and confused on a majority of the questions.

Today will probably be my last day of studying, all I can ask for now is prayer... If you all would be so kind.

Thanks,

Luke

I will be sending positive thoughts your way. I take mine on the 28th. Remember, take one question at a time. You don't need to know everything. Stop, think, and prioritze. We aren't expected to know everything, but you may be able to figure out the answer by thinking critically. You can do this!!

I will be sending many positive thoughts your way and for everyone taking the NCLEX!! I was just checking this morning to see some more GREAT news about passing.

Has anyone here used the NCLEX 3500 CD? If so, how did you like it?

Grrrr....I live in CA and took mine Monday the 9th. Not posted yet online. Im so annoyed with how long it takes for CA! Suzanne said the average can actually be 10 days. I am pretty sure that I passed but it gets a little scary now here at 2-3 days after...I just pray it posts tomorrow!
